Samsung sneaks out snazzy 3G iPhone rival... the Omnia.

Window Mobile. The end.

I saw a demo of this on Click on the BBC and the touch interface had severe lag and just looked clunky.

Sure it has more features than the iPhone but I'll stick with it for a while yet. Mostly because the interface actually works and you look so much more cooler with Apple kit than you ever could with Samsung especially running Windows!

Anyone any idea when this is coming to vodafone? I'm torn between this and HTC diamond touch which voda gets at *** beginning of Aug.

Some questions...any answers appreciated.

FM transmitter?
Photo quality?
3.5mm jack?
Textin - whats it like?

As it's DIVX certified is playback likely to be good? Also will it need to be scale down before being put on the phone?

Play have the 8GB version for £479.99 SIM free  with a release date of 18/08/08 eXpansys have the same release date but a price of £539.95 :eek:

Personally I'd want the 16GB Version but not sure when that is out, and certainly wouldn't be paying that price.

It's either the iPhone 3G or the Omnia for me, both 16GB Versions

ditto, althought i think the omnia is going to get my vote. it just depends if its sluggish / poo to use.

Samsung has given me too much problems in the past. It does look pretty decent, but I would probably wait until I see how buggy and prone to faults it actually is.

The screen size is really putting me off... I think it's sheer laziness on the part of Samsung, and I think it may have ruined what could have been damn near the perfect phone. Also 30fps video recording is a glaring ommission imo that they coiuld have added and it would have rivalled the Xperia.
