There is no single GPU card that can run 4k at max settings, though the requirement for anti aliasing at 4k is less as the pixel density elminates jaggies.
You'll definately be looking at dual cards from 290's from AMD or 780's from Nvidia and their ranges up from these. Depends which game too. Some more demanding games you still wont max out the settings for say the magic 60fps.
With todays range of cards you'll be wanting tri-fire/tri-SLi to run max game settings at 4k. If you want a single PCB for a samll case you'll be wanting an R9x295 or a titan Z (but probably wait for the 790GTX from Nvidia due to the price).
To run 3 cards you'll either want a case with lots of fans or a water cooling loop to keep them cool and quiet.
If it were me I'd get a R9x295 which is factory water cooled and slap another air cooled 290/290x in at a later date when you find you favourite game won't max out at 4k with just the x295. This allows trifire without getting a board with more than 2x PCI-E 3x16 slots which are usually more expensive. You'll be wanting an i7 to not bottleneck the cards too.

Really looking at getting one of these.
My gaming pc is my sig below so no problem using dp1.2, but my main pc is using hdmi at the moment only used for internet and YouTube etc.. I understand I'll be limited to 30Hz not good, is there any way of feeding 2x dp 1.2 cables into the monitor via a hub or something??
Is running at 30Hz for internet really that bad??

It's my understanding that you'll be waiting quite a while because it's going to need the next DisplayPort standard and that's a year or so away.

If you are only using your second comp for web and YouTube, the 30Hz over HDMI will be plenty.
Id be very interested in snagging one of these at some point, overall slightly less pixels than my eyefinity setup but all on one screen,porngames probably would have never looked so good.
I came from 5760x1080 and no way am I going back. UHD looks so good.
