The difference was from 48 fps with 4XSSAA to 78 fps with FXAA and I can't see any difference. In fairness, even at 48 fps, the game plays very smooth and is very responsive.

I can't speak for UHD, but I found that with games that have a lot of motion and you're constantly moving FXAA is more than enough, even sometimes AA just isn't needed. I'd say that applies to UHD even more.

I'm still so torn though, I love IPS displays and think the Asus PB278Q is awesome looking, but I would prefer to have UHD. :(

Why are the IPS UHD's so darn expensive.

Price aside, the IPS models aren't even worth getting at the moment. I had the Dell 31.5" for a few weeks and returned it as DisplayPort MST is buggy, still has major issues even after these display have been out on the market for over 6 months.

This Samsung 28" is a single tile monitor though, doesn't use MST which is a first for 4K via DisplayPort. Hopefully Samsung is using the same controller in their upcoming UD970.

Hmmmmm. I've been aiming for the AOC, and hopefully it doesn't need MST either.

fps you don't need AA at all but games like Civ 5, a little works. You could get away with all AA off in truth and not really notice the difference and would have to look hard to see jaggies.

You vile tempter!

It's hard deciding what monitor to get. Especially since I want to compare this to the AOC, and Asus. They're not expected until June though.

Either way I can't wait to play 8-bit indies at either 1440p or 2160p :p

Haha, I am a bit of a retro geek and would love some Elite in 4K :D Shame it isn't supported but a little fiddling might get it going :p

My Dell IPS isn't a patch on the Sammy UHD if that helps. Games look ****ing awesome :D

New board coming out which slot would I use to run the monitor?

Not 100% sure I understand the question. But to run the monitor, you could plug into either of the two slots that are highlighted in the orange rectangle, which are the DP1.2 and the HDMI 1.4a ports.
