I was defending Asus a few days ago, my blood is now boiling when I see retailers selling the B3 rev boards and end users are being told by asus they have to wait until may for replacements. This is wrong Asus!. I'm going to contact the etailer from sheffield and ask if I can have a refund for a board that is 10 days old.

ASUS are probably waiting until they have stock in greater numbers. The last thing they want to do is get a load of people to send thier old boards back to them and then run out of stock leaving people without boards for god knows how long. Its hardly urgent is it.

They need them boards to replace existing customers, but I suspect that’s what all the manufacturers and retailers will be doing with the first batch of B3’s, selling all the boards they can to new customers to make as much money as they can before replacing any of the existing customers failed boards.

I'm normally quite laid back and calm about stuff like this but its starting to get on my nerves now. Hence my first post on the forums.

PS. Thanks for the welcome :)

feeling exactly the same , i had to rma faulty asus p8p67 pro and asked maybe there is a chance to get B3 board, guess what? they said they dont have them, and now they in stock ...its realy very frustrating

Hey,

Well this 5% seems to have got me, so either I'm terribly unlucky or the 5% MAY fail is a load of bull.

Every two or three reboots my raid array needs verifying and fixing of errors. These drives DO NOT produce this in my p55a board.

I don’t have a failed board as such but I don’t want to connect all of my drives as I don’t want to risk any problems and MSI even recommend they are not used when you use the H67/P67 sata utility..
My gripe is that they are shipping boards for sale but no one from any of the manufacturers that I am aware of has given any information on how and when the replacements will be made available.
They must by now have plans in place so please just tell us what they are and if we need to do anything to register Etc… then maybe we will all stop worrying/complaining about it.

READ THE THREAD!

I think I have read the Thread, but thanks for the advice. Maybe my comments were a bit generic and I apologise.
I can’t remember seeing any details on how MSI is going to replace my board, if you could point me towards the details then I would be grateful.

well i have read from another site and i think they being very good that they are giving a few options ie: you can contact the motherboard manufacturer for a rma or they will let you rma the board back to them for a credit note or a straight swop, thats for any sandybridge with the fault, and they pay the return costs, can,t get much better than that.

You couldn't give us a bit of a cryptic clue as to who that is, could you? ;)
