Hey mate,

I doubt we'll get a reply. Asus have said in an email that you can return the board to the retailer. Not looking forward to seeing how receptive ocuk are of that. Infact I'm putting the phone call off!

Hi Guys,
i have been reading all the comments and i am just getting more confused. I do not know what to do. I have a new build PC which i am very happy with. My Gigabyte board has 2 sata6 ports which i am using for ssd and hd. my sata6 optical drive is plugged into a sata2 port. I will not be adding any other sata 6 devices. As far as i know my board is ok. Part of me thinks i should exchange for a B3 and part of me thinks its a waste of time. I would be very interested in your thoughts and opinions? Thanks in advance.

I bought a UD7 from OCUK. If they don't reply soon, I'll boycott OCUK from now on and make as much fuss as possible. Hopefully that won't happen but given I have spent close to £10k over the past 10 years, you can see why I'd be peeved

Without trying to harp on this subject, I too am waiting for a response from OCuk. From where I sit reading this thread it looks like OCuk was quick to get the post up promising everything would be A OK! Keep buying the boards, but call me sceptical, I didnt bite.

I am looking to upgrade, was about to do so when the news first broke. I chose not to risk my money and time on promises made. Actions now will help me decide where I spend my money in the future, and I have actually been purchasing from alternative sources while I wait to see how things will turn out here.

Its not complicated, its a customer service issue. For some of us, its important.

I got a reply to my ticket asking me to phone.... I did, and they apologised and said as its over 28 days old there is nothing they can do and i have to go through asus.

I realise i could probably fight it, however i guess i am just putting it in to context.

My computer works, its a pain and i would rather not have 2 weeks downtime but for me it is not worth my time arguing and fighting the issue, i have other fish to fry at the moment. IF i didnt i may argue the toss

Certainly it sucks, will i use ocuk again.... probably yes IF they are cheaper than anywhere else. The problem is all the other places i tend to use are being equally poor.

You pays your money and takes your chances i guess..... My local computer store i believe is offering swaps, but then they were more than a 10er more expensive to begin with.

Asus on the other hand are a multi million pound company and ARE in a position to handle it better without it costing them too much relatively........... given that MSI offer an equally performing product, with equivalent quality for the same price or less are handling it (or seem to be) much better offering advanced swapouts and this is a different matter.

I am stuck with asus this time around however it could well be the last asus product i buy, If MSI can do it, so should asus.

My last half dozen boards have all been gigabyte or asus, i will also be keeping an eye on gigabyte in the hopes of them being ok too.

Well im waiting to purchase my Z68 motherboard not sure which make yet but two things im sure of it wont be asus and it wont be from ocuk after the way people have been treated over the B2 motherboards.
