What do u want to mean by master card, another one but in master.

I'm still waiting for the dfi or asus mobo's with crossfire tech.

For crossfire you need a master card and a secondary (standard card). They won't be making (as far as I'm aware) a GTO2 master card, however you might beable to use a X800 master card or even a X850 master card if your GTO2 overclocks well.

A master card are simply special cards soon to be released, that work as the primary card in crossfire, the secondary card is simply a standard card of the same series (X800, X850 etc).

Yes, they are only making 1 type of master card per series, x800 and x850 for example. They are compatible with all varients and brans there in. Thus making it more flexible than SLI.

Err have you tried techpowerup's guide? Seems pretty straight forward and easy to me.

Not got the card as of yet! Still trying to decide wether to get one ot not!

I have looked at the guide. Still confusing to me. I would much rather see a guide like:

1. Do this
2. Do that
3. Press this

etc etc etc

I mean, do you put the flash files on a bootable floppy? What is the next step? Do you type something and then press enter? Confusing for me guys!! Sorry!!

You are correct, it isn't that clear but better than the basic one OcUK originally made up. Maybe someone who has some time and has successfully flashed a GTO2 can create a clear, easy to follow flashing guide!

Anyone got any ideas why i cant enable aa in css or bf2, you guys having the same problem? I was thinking that its a catlyst thing, as the cards are new. Unable to usee aa before i flashed it too.

Thank for the explanation.

One gc is on he way.

Anyone who requires all the files needed to make a bootable floppy drop me a mail and I'll send them. Using that its dead easy but follow the guide on techPowerup! first to make sure your card is able to be modded.
That is the important bit

But these cards are able to be modded.

I thought the main thing about these cards is that they're all able to be modded.

ACPCUP, well don't cry when it all goes wrong then. Surely the sensible thing is to check 100% first?
Maybe you know something I don't but never just assume when its a £150 card.

These cards have been advertised as moddable.

Nerves are going Please Help

Ordered card Friday 5.00PM delivered 10:00am Sat. Superb. Installed card yesterday setup fine all running smoothly. Have studied techpowerup guide for mod, checked card with ATI tool all looks good. However nerves are getting the better of me after reading some of the problems on here. I am sure I am not the only one. Can some one please post a step by step guide. I will feel a little more confident then.

Thanks in anticipation. :)
