SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

Hello Gibbo.
Please, can you tell us something about PowerColor RX 480 Red Devil? Any communication with PowerColor? Any news? Next week or later?

Thank you in advance.

Powercolor are not replying, but the last update was to expect a shipment this weekend, the fact they are silent says to me there is no shipment this weekend.

no shipment this weekend?... leaving hong kong next weekend!!?

gibbo where did you get the 22nd from? feels like its all just been a con to get every to use your site to be honest.

im going to be cancelling today. waited far to long now. every date just getting pushed back and back.

you took my money fast enough though didn't you.

Around 200 cards were shipped on 22nd, if you go back a few pages you can see this from people receiving cards from OcUK. :)

Sapphire original scheduled this weekend, but the latest is nothing this weekend with no reason for the delay and just to expect shipment next weekend. I spoke with AMD and AMD have confirmed large quantities of GPU have being shipped so I am confident Sapphire will ship next weekend, but how many is an unknown.

Was arguing this via web notes all day yesterday. They don't know any firm dates or quantities so customer who bought and paid could wait months more before seeing their purchase, everything is speculation.
In the process of switching to a Devil instead because the queue is shorter. I would have refunded but refunding takes about a week to process so not worth it yet (in case of new delivery from Powercolor).

Funny how retailers can take your money immediately but a refund can take a week.

devastating for us left waiting, but there is nothing that can be done :)

I think due to my need for a card ASAP I'm going to cancel my order and get a fury. Didn't want to spend the extra but needs must (and I think it's worth it over a ref 480) :)

Fury is a great card and is only going to get better with more dx12/Vulkan games coming out. These api's really make these cards shine as they finally show there true performance.

Where these 200 of the Nitro+ OC or a mixture of these plus normal Nitro+ and 4gb versions as it seems a bit odd i didnt get anything in this batch given my queue position if there where 200 Nitro+ OC?

i cancelled my nitro 8gb order and upgraded to a 1070 @ £360 on this week only

if you phone them and can give credit card details you can change your order to something else

figure it should last longer short term loss long term gain wanted to try amd because of vulkan doom performance maybe when vega arrives

There was around 140 units 8G Nitro+ OC RX 480 and 59 units of the 4G version, these are all now with customers over a week ago, like I say go back a few pages and you can see customers receiving said cards. :)

I was really hoping Id have mine by the end of next week so I could have it up and running for my 2 weeks holidays. It's a bit of a pain waiting nearly a month from the original ETA, but people lashing out at OcUK, it's not like they have any control over when the cards get here, they can only tell us what Sapphire is telling them. Luckily Im patient or Id have jumped on a Fury or a 1060 by now!

Honestly my only complaint with OcUK lack of constant feedback about changes in shipping dates.

The rest is entirely on AMD/GF and their board partners failing to deliver on supply and demand.

It's darn shame that AMD decided to focus on reference card more than aftermarket and I think it's going to hurt them in the long run really. They really should have opened sales with aftermarket cards right from the start.

It's not the waiting it's the lack of any correspondence or notification. They are still taking pre-orders for the card with no mention of potential long delays if the shipment isn't as large as they think or is postponed again. What if the money used could have been put towards something different if a customer has to wait till after another payday? (Not talking about essentials but, for example, a new car is wanted and they could only get one or the other in a given month)

An e-mail or two keeping people up to date couldn't hurt I guess. I joined the forumsjust for this thread, and I'd still be waiting on my card with no clue of whats been going on if I hadnt been watching this like hawk for the past month :p

Giving the reference a head start was one thing, they could have at least made sure the partners would be in a decent position to ship out cards within a decent period. At this stage I can see a lot of people dropping their orders in favour of the 1060, which isn't exactly great for AMD.
