SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

Im not necessarily on a budget, im just waiting on the release of ZEN to make a new rig. im just wondering if there will be much difference between the 4 & 8gb as there is the best part of £50 difference.

Still not getting the point of countdown on nitro page... What's the point to tease revealing of release date of card two days before... They build so much hype that it's overhyped and they are still building It up... With all this teasing and waiting card need to beat aib 1060 or it will be worst product release I have ever seen... Still buying it :)

I may be guessing here but we all know that some chips can overclock well while some can't (silicon lottery). Because of back orders of the reference card making chip supply limited, manufacturers had to make a decision, release cards now with average clocks that all chips can handle or delay launch and wait for supply of better binned chips to increase clock speeds.

It feels to me like manufacturers have been testing and testing these cards to try and push the clock speeds as high as possible out of the box but in the end they just can't do anything above 1400 because they have to pick a frequency that works on all chips that is stable.

That is probably why cards with higher clock speeds like the Toxic have been mentioned but are nowhere to be seen yet, because there just aren't enough good chips.

Otherwise the whole launch is backwards IMO as you would think they would want their super high spec card released first with a higher price tag so everyone wanting a 480 buys one. With how it is now, anyone who buys a Nitro+ or Nitro is a potential lost sale of a Toxic.

And I know we are all keen to see performance in the review video but can we please have the card dimensions? There is quite a big part of the card that extends upwards past the back plate and I need to know the height to see if it will fit in my case. I reckon my maximum is 140mm.

This is why I should stay away from reading ANYTHING sometimes. The DEVIL was alledged to have about 1370mhz on boost or something, and now it's only 1330 ? Well.. that is lame.

Indeed was meant to be 1362 based on what was shown in the east. Bit dissapointed as I ordered based on the better looking cooler and supposed clocks v the nitro+. Still looks like it has the beefiest cooler though so may still offer better clocking headroom.

Hoping that is a silent bios rather than top stock bios although not holding out hope.
6+1 VRM is also good news for potential overclock though.

I suspect Powercolor may be playing it safe with stock clocks to get the card out on time before it gets massively behind other custom cards but potentially have better OC potential with the bigger cooler and additional VRM.

Should be better as one of heatpipes dont touch GPU(Asus didnt modify 1080 cooler) and lower clock speed.

So now it's possible what was posted before with leaked nitro+ benchmarks
