SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

He is just trying to derail this thread and paint the 1060 in a better light, just wait 12/18 months when 480 pulls away from 1060 even more in the new api just like most of Amd cards have done against Nvidia cards in the past.

The highest end is where Amd need to do better even then in dx12 they are getting better.

So basically... buy the 1060 now... see it later, and maybe get an AMD card later?

The maths were clearly laid out. its 31p a day. And what with it being no issue to you, in fact you are busy "sayin" on here how triflingly small it is, you and others will e-mail Overclockers and say how its stressed you so much you had to come on here to try and flame me, that what with it only being 31p a day, you'll happily pay it will you. So I can expect a credit of £51 on my Oveclockers account from each of you can I?

No, of course not. And such a selfish set of posts too. If each person in the UK saved just 10 Watt a day, the UK could close a power station. On 50 Watts a day, we could close 5 stations and save million of tons of carbon dioxide & sulphur dioxide going into the air. But as no one here has heard of climate change, it shows how misinformed this debate is!

Please start your own thread about how you need a 750Ti in your life.

Snip...

Oh now I see where this comes from.

Wrong forum to scream about that mate, while power efficiency does have some bearing on GPU Choice it has little to do with Polar Bears.

I think you and Kaap should get together over some; Iced Tea? you will love that guy :D

Hey Kaap, some pics of your rigs if you don't mind.

Just give him a hint like a picture of a Nuclear power station wired in to a house with Kaap written on the front. Maybe a few pictures of skinny Polar Bears in the background standing on thin sheets of ice for effect.

Hahaha. Comes on to OCUK and talks about saving the planet. I wonder which planet he is actually on!

A nice shot from Kaap of something AMD quad carded would probably give him a stroke.

A gif of Kaap's 4 way Fury X setup dressed up as a Great White Shark chewing through iceberg's and Polar Bears leaving a blood bath in its wake.

The Earth has been around for a lot longer than any human can comprehend and it's been substantially hotter and colder during that time.

There can be no doubt that our actions on the planet are making an effect but whether or not it is significant/permanent is up for debate. We simply do not have enough data over a long enough period to know whether we are significantly impacting the Earth's climate or not.

This planet has been around long before we came about and will still be here long after our extinction. The RX480's extra power draw over the GTX 1060 is really insignificant in the grand scheme of things. :p

sorry to gert in the way of the climate discussion guys but I have a techy question! :)

Got this climate changing card on order but I have a I5 2500K CPU. I've had it for about 5 years I think. Is it sufficient to play today's games like Doom3 or Witcher3 with the Nitro?
