Cheers for that info, got s copy of Doom with my monitor and really looking forward to playing in all it's gory glory when the saphire turns upUp until last week (when it died on me), my reference 480 was doing quite nicely at 1440p. I'd been playing Doom (Vulkan) on ultra at a solid 60+ fps ...
hold with cancelling preorders. Cards should be shipped by the end of this week.
HA!
As said on Friday, I did change the TIM today and saw temps drop from 93-95 (i.e. on the verge of throttling) to 77 under load. I had to void what was left of the 2 year warranty to remove the excessive TIM that was on there. Photo in spoiler tags.
Shocking. This card has been too hot since it was new, and that ^ is why. Sorry for going OT. Original point I was making on Friday was I was fed up with hot AMD cards and hoped RX 480 might be different.

Was thinking of getting 2xRX480 8GB, but I know from previous experience that exhaust cards are better because the heat goes out of the case. Is it the same with these cards? Would the nitro not be the best option for me?

If you are getting more than one you should definitely get the reference design as all the heat will be exhausted out the rear of the case.
Have you tried crossfire before? It's not a great experience.

Any word on these cards? Some were slated to arrive today weren't they?
Any AIO adapters available for these yet?
