SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

Hi there

Right Sapphire have given me some great news this morning, their initial batches that they tested they have agreed to ship exclusively to OcUK in the world. The first batch is a real small number as of course they are not from a full scale production run but a small production batch test run.

So OcUK customers will be the first in the world to receive a Nitro+ OC card, the first batch is likely to be around only 30 units and could be with ourselves as early as next Monday!!!

Then they shall hopefully ship 1000-2000 units next weekend to ourselves to clear the remaining backorders, 4GB cards should also be in that batch too. :)

this is what Giggo said, so this weekend

So after thinking over and over I bit the bullet and ordered myself a evga 980 ti sc. Not ocuk's fault they've been amazing. 10/10
customer support in my eyes.

I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed performance wise although my wifes look could have potentially killed when I gave her the excellent news

AMD fangirl??? :p

only reason I went for this over 1060 is because I want a freesync monitor and I'm not willing to pay the crazy premium for gsync.

did cancel my sapphire pre-order and went with ref cooler, we'll see how it is! might just dump a custom heatsink in the future if it bothers me.

Still excitedly waiting, come on Nitros hurry up and land!
Seems like stock gpu clock is pretty good how it is, but why wouldn't they boost the memory too? Maybe saving that for a Toxic?
As we've seen the gains to be had from upping the memory, surely that'll be the first thing to do with these cards, or might there be another reason they left it alone?

Anyone know what happened to the 30 first-batch cards that Gibbo mentioned? I placed my pre-order on the 2nd so I'm curious to see if I made it into the first thirty.

Yea they still don't have added voltage like the other reviews. Until they do its a waiting game.

Hmm, I remember exactly the same being said about the Fury X and look how well that ended.

Before I get moaned at note I currently have an AMD card and I am planning on buying a 480 for a friend's new pc shortly as well. I just can't help feeling that just like the Fury X having extra voltage isn't going to make much difference.
