I don't have any really demanding games as i'm only really playing Overwatch. At 1400 mhz (1125 vcore) we are talking 80-100 FPS @ 1080p Render scaling 100%. It dips to around 80 in some areas, mainly spawn zones, but for the most part its hovering close to 100.

This is with the "Epic" preset for graphics. That is everything Maxed out except AA, which defaults to SMAA-Medium (as Opposed to SMAA-High). For the settings I hit reset to defaults, then selected Epic and restarted the game. The only manual change I made was to turn off Frame Rate locking which defaults to "Display Based" - so i turned that off.

For the Tempts/Fan settings, I set Max:90, Target: 82 and reached 85c during gameplay. I also set the Fanspeed to max at 1900 RPM. At this noise level I would say its not excessive, but definitely not quiet.

Is 10860 your Graphics score or overall score? Most people are quoting their graphics scores as it should be a better indicator of the GPU strength. If you are getting 10860 graphics score, something is wrong, most people are getting 13000+ on stock.

I cancelled my 480 pre order and went for the nitro Fury after the clocks of the power color devil got released a bit lower than I was hoping for. No idea wether the vram will hurt it badly in the future, but in my opinion it's got enough of a raw speed advantage over the 480 that it's gonna be the faster card in the majority of games for the next few years to justify the extra 50 quid. Obviously in the short term there is no doubt, it is comfortably the faster card.

It is sodding huge tho.

Same, and I'm very happy with it. But I will swap it out for vega when that comes along.

The shaders on mine were hardware locked unfortunately, and a few others are saying the same on the unlocking thread. It does overclock very well though.

At the moment, my CPU rad fans are at the front so warm air is being fed to my GPU. with 2x 140 mm exhausts at the top. I've ordered a Phantek PWM Fan hub and another 140 mm fan so i'm going to play with airflow tomorrow.

Not too sure on the best setup, was thinking move the Rad to the top and exhaust the hot GPU air through the RAD so my CPU isn't feeding hot air to the GPU. (hopefully that wont destroy my CPU temps too much).

Then one 140 mm fan at the bottom blowing straight at the GPU. That would leave me with 2 more 140 mm fans, don't know if i should do a front intake and a rear exhaust, or go for dual front intakes.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good fan setup for the below?:

Case is: Fractal Design Define S.
3 x 140 mm Fans
1 x Dual fan rad (Closed loop Fractal Kelvin S24)
Could also throw in a 120 mm fan if needed.

I have the same case, but currently have a Hyper 212 rather than a loop. Been looking at changing to a K36 AIO instead and so been watching old JayzTwoCents videos.

Anyway, he did one on rad position. Both front and top, and there was no difference between the two. If you're hitting 85, then what sort of enviroment are you in? Big room? Small? Ventalation? Does it get warm in your room at all both with the PC on or off? Just thinking before you going ripping parts apart that it could be other factors.

I bought it a few years ago. I would upgrade it but my cable management was so tidy :( So want to avoid replacing if poss!

Thanks for the advice. So many decisions. Fury now, or wait for 480 (with no clue when I might get one), 1060, argh.

The 480's are supposed to arrive in large stock this week. Some Nitro cards due today in some numbers as well.

We should be seeing plenty being shipped this week.

Oh really? What about those of us who didn't preorder? I was under the impression that would still be quite a wait. Might hold fire for now!
 
I think some one pre ordered Friday and was saying 400 in Que. I think there's 1000s coming in this week? So even worth Amazon orders I don't think the wait is long.

Any updates gibbo? And for selfish reason what's the chance of me being a card for week at 95th in Que?
