SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

I wish I could go back in time and cancel my order and get a 1060 :p but I've been waiting so damn long I feel I should stick it out. Sucks to be in this situation though.

What did they expect? Announcing a product that you can't actually buy? Competitor comes along with a faster (in most cases) product for similar price, and has stock....

I just got fed up of the waiting AND the price gouging, so jumped on a 1070 when a reasonable offer came up. Only about 100 more for significantly better performance, was a total no-brainer, although I didn't really want to spend that much. Will like me more than enough for at least 2 to 3 years.

yeah think im going to cancel my order tomorrow because i ordered a power supply a 144hz freesync monitor and a nitro+ 8gb oc only to be told none of my items will ship until there is a card in stock for me because i payed with paypal they cannot split the invoice (im 443 in queue) just hope ocuk don't take forever to put the money back in my paypal.
will probably reorder or just put the little extra and pick up something else

I got bored of waiting so ordered the ZOTAC GTX 1060 Mini, should suit all my gaming needs and a nice £10 reduction today helped me decide too!

you joined just to post that? good on you mate..now go to the 1060 thread where you should have posted in the first place;)

It really isn't waiting this long for a card that outperforms a 1060 in only a few games, but uses more power. In my opinion.

To be honest in most of the games you will not notice real life difference between the GTX1060 and the RX480 AIB vs AIB either way .It really is down to price, availablity and which brand one prefers .People just get so wrapped up in few FPS difference that its borderlining insanity . :)

Yes he did, and he has every right to post here. Glad I'm not a forum you own.

Any new customer/member probably would post in the thread dedicated to their purchase, not promote it in a rival thread with their first and only post.
I'd like to see how many 480 purchasers have posted that they bought one in the 1060 thread.

And it's not like Nvidia doesn't have a history of buying shills to spread FUD around is it :D

Jesus... I was only stating what I had done, if Nvidia paid me for this, it would be the easiest job I've ever had. I'm sure gaming will be brilliant on both cards but the graphics card was the last component of my build to install and you know what it's like when you're waiting around for days on end.

I do feel a little guilty that I got mine last week. Was just the luck of the draw that I got my order in as early as I did though.

I didn't favour either brand but was in the market for a GPU when these went up for pre-order and bit. Turns out that generally the 1060 manages 2-3 fps better in most DX11 games, and the 480 appears to gain a little more than that in DX12, @1080p which I use.

Do I really care? No, saved myself £50 on the AIB 480 and the performance is virtually identical. If I'm lucky the 480 will mature for DX12, bonus.

Rival thread? It is clear how you view things. I'm mostly company agnostic.

He doesn't need to justify himself to you, and neither does anyone else. You stir the pot up all the time, and then try telling someone they can't post. Okay.......... ... .. .

EDIT: Frankly... so what? AMD and partners should have got their act together. The fact is they didn't, and now they are losing sales. It has nothing to do with the card itself, only that you can't buy the darn thing.

Two things 1) Graphics sections of this forum gets heated 2) Ignore him, he has a MASSIVE AMD bias.

I see no reason whatsoever why you can't post to say you got tired of waiting. Clearly you were interested in the 480.
