SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

Strange that some other well known UK online etailers now showing in stock on the 8GB Nitro... still waiting for the 4GB ones to become available... Need to get my VMware VCP6 Upgrade exam done first  As i know once i have this new toy, i will have less time to study :D

I'd probably rather go for the 4GB Sapphire RX480 at £199 rather than the R9 390 at £203. Nearly identical performance for slightly less ££ and heat.

You're probably right but I'm eyeing up the 8gb Vram. My aging 580gtx hits its 1.5Gb limit in most games now. Shame really as it does 1080p pretty well really. I will keep waiting but I really hope we get a stock update soon!

I think they will still be selling out for a long time. Sad that some AMD fans are having to resort to the green team, but I think the RX480 and 470 will be selling out for a long time.

i hope you're right, i must admit i have felt the urge to buy a 1060 but i just cant bring myself to do it. Im tempted to buy a reference 480 if im honest. Waiting for these AIB cards is a bit of a nightmare and i can only feel slight anger towards AMD.

where are they in stock?

How come the sapphire nitro has its own thread but the powercolor or gigabyte cards which are also on preorder dont have a thread?

Is no one preordering those cards? What dates is stock expected of those cards?

It's mainly because the Nitro oc+ was the first of the Aib cooled cards to go up for Pre-Order.

I wouldn't bother the 4gb gigabyte model. It's ETA was the 28th of July, but for some reason they didn't receive any from their gigabyte shipment. Contacted them through webnote and they have no idea when they'll receive it and have nothing for the ETA, so I cancelled my order.

well looks like i will be waiting a long time for my monitor and power supply seeing as i was told they will ship when my card is ready to be sent.
"you are currently 443rd in the queue for this GPU, we are hoping to have all pre-orders fulfilled by the end of August. Current ETA's are 05/08 and 12/08"

Honestly this whole situation would be better if we got some feedback here and there about our Pre-Orders.

On the 18th of July Gibbo stated the PowerColor Devil cards were supposed to arrive around the 22nd. That was two weeks ago, and no update. Same for Sapphire.

If I didn't dig around the forum for peoples web note replies (which give contradictory info) I would have assumed my pre-order was shipped on 29th. No emails or any other official communication to say my pre-order is delayed.

I got bored of waiting so ordered the ZOTAC GTX 1060 Mini, should suit all my gaming needs and a nice £10 reduction today helped me decide too!
