Saving Sessions / Demand reduction thread

I've managed to opt in this time, previous sessions just said no and gave me 800 points. Maybe my smart meter is magically working again since thismorning but still not holding much hope. Nothing on the app since Oct 27th.
Odd, even if it worked this morning it still shouldn't allow you to opt in, as they don't have 80% of your readings for the last 10 days, unless it's not updated on the app yet.

Yeah, well agile is only 19p or so until 4pm so if it doesn't work I'm going to lose about 50p as battery already quite high and fixed export is fine. Honestly its mighty annoying when this smart stuff goes dumb, why didnt they put a reset button the coms hub rather than needing all these engineer vistis, which btw are a 3rd party around here and octopus have done bugger all since I contacted them. I'm sure its just lip service 'oh yes we've chased them, they'll contact you soon'..

Was hoping as it was a short notice one that it might have been another higher paying one, still should be somewhere between £4.50 and £5.00, so can't complain.

@200sols Don't I know it, luckily I only missed one, but it was worth about £35. Phone them every day, and if they aren't getting anywhere raise a complaint.

Apparently your lucky your not north of Manchester, it's harder to get resolved up there by all accounts.

I've spoken to them 3 times on the phone, multiple twitter exchanges and even emails. Tbh the next time agile went high I was just going to go onto SVR as its simply not worth the hassle when its not working or you aren't sure they can retrieve the data down the line. Of course the annoying part is the saving sessions and suddenly you're losing real money not just a few pence.

The givback people are saying it is a test event, maybe to see how much people can cover at short notice.

I never got a notification in the app for this one, but fortunately checked in here so I've opted in. I thought it might be likely today as it is dull and miserable with no wind.

Thanks for the heads up, so glad I keep checking this thread, just got home from taking dad to hospital then going to shops, wish I had spotted this an hour ago so I could have topped battery up a little, if it was £4 again I woulda topped up at 35p but for £2.25 I wont.

I did pause the discharge between 4 and 5 though to conserve every bit of juice I got.

I looked on the website, seems to be the first place its advertised.

Ah yeah last time when I gave early notification it was from there as well.
Seems to be the fastest way, I guess it needs to be done first in order to allow signup.

Wonder if we can setup an automated type check. I only know of ones that work when you have the browser open

Compared to last year's saving session dates, that might be it until January.

2022
November - 3 Sessions
December - 2 Sessions
