With the way the weathers been this year living by the sea hasnt even helped me! Lost count of the number of weekends ive had blown out. Not a single offshore dive done this year, only managed inshore stuff :(. Fingers crossed next year is better!

I'd have to recommend my mate Sidey and his Liveaboard called Black Pearl. if you are going to the Maldives.
They are a young up beat bunch of lads that just makes the whole trip like going away with a bunch of good mates. Food was top class, service was top class, the rooms were top class and the general slickness of the whole operation just made a great few weeks away.

Not anymore, she caught fire and sank in the Baa atoll a few weeks ago :(

Just back from two weeks in the Red Sea, seeing the wrecks, reefs, and finishing my Search and Recovery specialisation :). What a gorgeous place to dive, the diversity of life was utterly incredible.

I'm tempted to sell my gear as it's simply not getting used. I bought a Draco drysuit 2 years ago and it's seen the water 4 times.

I might be interested in some of that :o.

I take two masks when on a tech dive, one with a completely silicone skirt so it folds up nicely and fits in a leg pocket, can't for the life of me remember it's name or anything. though. :D Jet black of course :D

Very jealous. I am looking to move into Tec diving asap. Those pictures look incredible :).

Am off to Egypt next week on a live-aboard with my dive club; will be my first trip to Egypt as a diver so cannot wait.

Those pics of Iceland look stunning; one of my mates was there this year and the images he showed me looked immense too; it's definitely on my to do list

having just come back from diving in malta (for my 4th trip)I can highly recommend it.

for the deeper divers the stubborn and polynesian are great 60m dives :D

Which dive centre did you go with? I've not been in 18 months and I miss it.
I'm Deep certified (to 40m) so 60m is a bit out of my reach without looking at tec diving.

I've always used divewise /techwise. They are based near paceville, which is great for bars etc too :).

for 40m diving i recomment the faroud (me and budy did 1 hour 40 on this)

carvela on next to gozo (spelling is wrong) cracking wreck though.

we did the p29 and rosie in one dive too.

Last time I was there I went to dive the P29, however as the van pulled up into the diving parking area it got soaked by a wave coming over the top of the wall, the weather took a massive turn and the swell was mad. We turned around and headed for somewhere sheltered and ended up diving off Manoel Island near the abandoned hospital.

Fuzz, you don't understand how jealous I am of you having dived in Iceland! I haven't really done any cold water diving. Hopefully after my next season in Kefalonia, i'll finish as an instructor and have earned enough money to travel over winter and tick off some more places :D
