Looking good Loudbob glad you got those hybrids sorted and all is running well!
Might the case be looking for a new home when you build the new "Seti Express" ? ;):D:D
 
I think if a small donation to the new build was made a new home could be found.....

But I'm afraid it would have to be collected :( as postage would be rather difficult.

As for the last Hybrid - still aiting for a replacement (hopefully to the tune of £279.99 which is what I paid for the original).

If it were to be replaced for something with similar core complement I would expect either a GTX460 (1024mb) or GTX465.

There isn't really anything of a similar price - the GTX470's come close (apart from the Zotac Amp - which is a little more).

The GTX480's are just too far above the price range.

So, unless another Hybrid comes back I shall be very interested to see what the replacement would be.

Mines at 1500, cant get it higher unless I increase the volts and Im a bit nervous at that as last time I pushed it, my rig kept crashing so I backed it down..
 
Mine was a bit unstable too - no matter what the GPU's were clocked at.

So I put the CPU back to stock and Presto............

Rock solid stability.

Running seti on 3 of the 4 CPU cores and full whack on the GPU's.

As it turns out - the CPU still produces the same work output on 3 cores as it crunches the units faster. CPU output has dropped due to running @ stock - but the increase in GPU output is far greater.
 
Would be no problem collecting Loudbob...think upgrade...think TBag :)
Looking at the pics i thought you allready had your hybrid replacement blimey so theres another...as yet mystery card to add!!

My output is set to drop for the second week in a row this week, have had a lot of distractions but hopefully tommorrow after uploads are complete a few case changes will set me right, am itching to do it now but i am learning not to tempt fate.
Yup that would be great to keep me in mind for the case Loudbob am sure we can come to an agreement. Friend has been good to me over the years and i know he's been after 1 for aeons.
Yeah i know i'm nosey but if you don't know you have to ask, feel free to tell me to sod orffff but what case are you thinking for the big build?
 
Thinking of the the Corsair Obsidian.

Looks to have plenty of room for water cooling (CPU, MB, Ram & 4 x GPU's) and still enough space for 4 x 2 TB HDD's, 2 x 2.5" HDD's and 2 x SSD's.

It's just a pity I can't get my hands on (to check out) before purchase.

Me thinks I may have to take a trip to Stoke once I have enough cash to begin build.
 
Loudbob...do you believe in fate lol. Am swapping out 2 x 800d cases tommorrow into hafx cases was going to keep one for a waterdoodaa in a few weeks and sell the other :)
 
Good ol Corsair case :)

Might see about watercooling my GTX when its in :D

Wish i had some WU's to do on Seti stopped shortly after Wednesday morning hardly any work came through :( Been folding and doing milkyway to keep it busy in the mean time will hopefully fit new GPU at the weekend now bit busy with car and work to do anything with it at the moment :D

If you can keep hold of the spare until September (around the 8th when I get paid) I'm sure we can come to an arrangement :D
 
You mean you have a gtx470 sat there doing nowt :eek: Sacrilege! Mind you the car is important but that poor gpu just sat there screaming to get outta the box....doth bring a tear to the eye :D

It's my brothers 40th Birthday (suprise party) and a belated one (by 3 weeks) for me too :D

My lack of enthusiasm for my rig is becoming less and less everyday think its down to the lack of game time i have now and the number of reinstalls i have had to do just wearing a bit thin for me now that and nothing is going right at the mo just seem to throw money at stuff for it to kick me back in the face :( Practically ruined my ipod earlier because it didn't want to downgrade now has marks of concrete on it hate it so much and I tried to stab my phone with its stylus because it froze on me :(

Think I should just buy new stuff

I can understand that, Dr TBag reccomends that you drop everything, have a 12hour mad ass gaming session, upload your work sometime later today. Install your 470 set it away and go get to grips with that motor of yours :D
 
If you have to smash something pick something old and rip it to pieces. They were only 40gb ssd's i think but they were on one day special at 40 quids today on oc i missed out.
Your just trying to justify burning up that card aint ya lolol.
Jammie d's i would definately put them first, ssd? meh whatever, win 7 mmm just run your 470 as is for now till you get to know it before ya blow your credit card limit on waterdooda stuff. Must admit i got a bit bored early and cranked mine up 1525 and it's holding yayyy!!
 
I have nothing old :( I don't collect things just buy new bin the old :(

Hot chocolate and Jammie D's on the go :D

But will be getting new water cooling gear as at the moment mine is just not cutting it and putting 2 470's in a loop will need either 2 loops or a few rads :)
 
Ahhh well i cant say i dont do that sometimes, mind you i recycle sell or use the old stuff, theres a market for everything out there regardless of age condition brand etc.
Hc &Jd mmmmm and Bioshock now thats a match made in heaven lol.
Make sure when you do your waterdoodawotsit that you do a build log, that way if you blow Dagenham to hell i might learn something and not repeat the same in Middlesbrough :D
 
Build log haven't done one for a while we shall see might go boobs up if so gives me a excuse for new parts :D

P.S Bioshock I have never completed it because I am a woman and am scared to even play it :D
