That was a purchase based on the fact that I had the money sitting there looking at me and I fell over the buy button, Nothing to do with my lack of GPU power

Im thinking of flogging the 480 and getting 2 x 460 as a stopgap, will give me an increase, but nothing on the scale you are planning :eek:

As I said in a previous post (somewhere).....

It will be December before I purchase any more hardware.

Maybe another 460, but the majority will be watercooling my new i7 and the two 470's I already have.

Let things settle and give everyone else a chance to make amends

Power usage is the same.

Yes a PC with 2 768MB GTX 460's uses the same power as one with a single GTX 480 under load.

whats the min power requirements of a 460?
I'm still thinking about getting them to replace the green 250s that I have- but they're in mitx/shuttle rigs with 300W PSUs... maybe not eh?

I dont honestly think i will be ahead of you Loudbob, i just want to upload switch off for the weekend and get these cases sorted, and i fully intend to park my backside on the sofa all day sunday and ahhhhhhhh relax.

I'm hoping that my new Gpu's & cpu will kick in straight awway - if they do TBag will struggle to pass me for at least a few weeks.

He is currently 194k behind me - so he would have to break 500k to have any chance of stomping me.

Most defo gonna be close......
