I really don't think you'll have any troubles with the 'new' Light. Essentially, Gerd removed 1Hosts lite from the sources and expanded his own personal black and white list to compensate, and OISD is no longer a source (it starts being included in the next list up, Multi aka Normal). Honestly, after reading the discussion and testing when it first posted, and switching over to Light, my AGH logs and stats are still about the same. All the usual trackers are blocked still, percentages are around the same as they always were give or take 1%.Interesting read, thanks. I've just switched to Light and disabled oisd on the strength of that. Let's see how it goes for a while.
I have occasionally had to disable Pihole while running both Pro and oisd but that’s not difficult, I have an automation set so all I have to do is say “hey siri disable pihole” and it disables them for five minutes.
Oh, is that's what's been stopping them? Wifey will be pleased if they work again."Will the daily mail comments work" erm.......!
I'm always having trouble with the other halves device so I am hopefull, willl give feedback in about a week as suggested.Oh, is that's what's been stopping them? Wifey will be pleased if they work again.
On Apple mobile devices, you don't need to go through that rigmarole. Just click the little jigsaw looking icon next to the padlock in the address bar, and select 'Show IP address' (for that site only). The site will reload with no proxy/relay, and everything should work as normal. I dunno about Safari on macOS, because I run a VPN and thus don't have iCloud Private Relay active on that. I imagine it's similar. No, it was a private joke. The Wife had been having problems with Local papers not showing content but mine was. Turns out she has an option called Limit Ip Address Tracking on her Apple device. IE if I used Firefox it worked great... But using the built-in Browser Safari It wouldn't. Took me a minute to work it out though.
So the process goes turn it off disable/enable WiFi. When finished, rinse and repeat.
Also might be useful to note that I use Unbound as a backend for my pihole as well as Root servers.
As far as we can see the Extension thingy isn't in Her version of IOS which I think just gets security updates. On Apple mobile devices, you don't need to go through that rigmarole. If she pays for extra cloud space it comes for free.Well switching to Light and disabling oisd has fixed the Daily Mail comments section here. No idea if she's got all the iCloud private relay stuff switched on or not.
