Shadow Warrior 2

Wow this game is so addictive, just spend 3 hours playing it.
Pity that you can't really fell when you cut through enemy bodies with your sword.

The game is not in any way procedurally generated in the same sense as NMS.
It is is actually handcrafted, but certain elements get randomized from premade parts for each playthrough. So each playthrough is different, but all are essentially handcrafted. It is neat.

What difficulty level are you playing on?
I play on hard with ds4 and sometimes during boss battle I die few times.
I'll try mouse and keyboard today.

I'm playing on normal with K&M. I couldn't play a game like this on controller.

BTW are you all using the ultra preset or have you tweaked settings? I don't think my game looks right with all the overblown brightness and fog effects.

I'll post some screenies later.

I play on the third difficulty using a controller, I've only died once. I dont think using a keyboard mouse would change things that much for me.

Here's some screenshots showing the over blown lighting/fog effects. Is it meant to be like this?

Have you tried turning the gamma down in the graphics options? I changed it to 0.9 and the game looks much better and is not washed out now.

Damn you and your ultrawide screenies !!! :p

The night time missions with search lights and fog are probably the hardest to navigate around but it adds to the fun.

Game is certainly fun but I can see it getting a bit boring after a few hours, seems quite linear map/levels too? How long is the game?

Graphics are pretty nice at times (especially the lighting) but yeah it has a bit of a foggy/washed out look, on IPS and 21.9, it can look stunning at times and 21.9 support is great too!

Just need a good sweetfx config to get rid of the smoggy look and sharpen textures up a bit.

EDIT:

Oh and transformers cartoon movie soundtrack at the start = EPIC :D

Got the SeetFx working... I had to download the files on the mega link, but after a bit of Googling I discovered I had to rename "dxgi.dll" to "d3d11.dll" else I got an error.

Anyway, much better with the preset - here's a before and after (it looks subtle in the screenshots, but it's very noticeable when toggled on/off in-game).

Is it really only a 10 hour campaign? So yet another game that the single player has to suffer to shoehorn a multiplayer element into it? :(

From what i have read it seems that the single player is still fun, but i'll wait for it to be much cheaper if it really is that short.

First game wasn't that much longer..I think it took me 14 and it was a bit too long, eventhough I liked it.

This one has the advantage of much greater replayability thanks to randomizes levels and insane amount of weapons and modifications etc.

Singleplayer is not harmed by the optional co-op at all from what I played.
