the worst thing on social media is all the " big companies " or cool people with the so sorries. im expecting EA to do a fund for the victims for every pre order of battlefield. so many companies we sorry every time a tragedy happens. just to drive sales up. its sad to say it but you see it instantly every tragedy on social media.being exploited .
It's because it was a gun free zone. If the suicidal shooter knew he might die from a fabled good guy holding a gun, he wouldn't have tried.
This is what is wrong with making owning guns a normal occurrence. Simple arguments escalate into fights with firearms.
The age of the shooter fits into the right win narrative that liberal, non-religious millennials didn't grow up right and will be the downfall of countries like US. Add video games into the mix, and you can make the perfect deflection away from guns.

No we don't at all, your perception is distorted by the typical sensationalist media. We have had a recent increase from historical low levels of crime and violence yes, but still much lower than previous times, like the levels seen in late eighties early nineties.

Yes you can conceal carry in Florida, they do have scanners and every bag is checked when entering theme parks etc, I guess this event was too small?

Nearly 100% of mass shootings are done with legally held weapons.
The majority of people who get into an argument and then shoo y the football coach under the bleachers etc are done with legally held weapons too (not making that one up happened the other week).
Criminals tend to just shoot other criminals its normal people with thier legal guns that go all murder suicide

Who mentioned skin colour I certainly didn't! Its the fact that Trump refuses to acknowledge or even to be be seen to do something about gun laws. Obama at the very least made the right noises - why they coulldn't push what he wanted all the way through I don't know enough about American politics. As far as I can tell Trump has come out and said knives are bad in London.
Surely after shooting you need to be seen to be doing the correct thing even if it isn't universally popular with certain groups. That's my take on the situation and Trump - I had the misfortune of sharing a flight with a pro gun and trump supporter a few weeks ago. Very uncomfortable 5 hours for me as he was clearly a very intelligent guy but he went to great lengths to tell me that having to wait 6 months for licensing checks to be completed in Massachusetts was going too far
