Shotguns: Show us your clay / game / zombie bashers

Mines are flush to the wall, You can remove the skirting board easily with one of the vibrating saws. Since it's then flush, you can also secure it to the floorboards or the concrete slab underneath.

I've decided to sell my pretty B25. Turns out since I switched gun, I haven't shot the B25 at all, it doesn't fit me as good as the guerini TBH. It's gorgeous, but if I don't shoot it, whats the point?
Also, it's a 'classic' but then again I've got a pair of SxS now too, so really it's a lovely, but not terribly versatile gun for my purpose...

Took some pic earlier, blimey it does look awesome! Best wood I've ever seen on any gun so far. Will put in on guntrader next week :/

Was that the shoot where all traps broke down - heard a few shooters had a go at trappers -

In 32 years of clay shooting I have never had a go at trappers - it's a thankless cold job and they don't need bloated heads mouthing them. :(

Good score on such a cold day - glad I didn't go.

That old Browning is a very nice gun - I could never afford one of those - Had a Nikko 5000- that was ok but ended up being a semi auto man for all my shooting days.

Had some nice wood on some of them .

This one was trap gun

This was a Monti Carlo trap gun with nice wood - sold it as shot to high for me.

Another trap stock - had stock and forend given to me -It was a commissioned piece I think as it was very well made. - Just screwed a butt pad on to see what it was like but this also shot very high so sold it on.
Not sure what wood was but it wasn't Walnut - would have come up very nice if finished.

All these guns have gone now to other Winchester SX1 collectors

Speak to your FEO but I imagine they'll want it indoors.

I got my license without a cabinet. Now I'm looking at buying though I have to call the FEO out again to take a look at the cabinet so he's happy for me to keep a gun in it.

I wouldn't put your cabinet in a garage from a security point of view plus keep your pride and joy (when you get it) free from damp.

Likewise any cartridges you get need to be kept at a consistent temperature as this ensures the performance when used.

does the gun cabinet have to be inside the house? can it be in a garage?

it will just depend on the issuing force. I've heard of people saying they've had no problems with garages, others saying they needed to have it alarmed, and some saying it was ok so long as it was connected to the house internally. It's unusual, but should imagine as long as it's not some lockup garage on an estate a hundred yards from your house, it'll be ok.

Thank for the replies. Yeah it's not attached but is secure. I think the damp/rust issue will be the killer though.

These are supposed to work well. You stick a patch to the inside of your cabinet and replace every year.

If you don't put it away damp or with salty fingerprints all over it you should be okay however the woodwork might suffer.

I wouldn't be storing anything nice or natural in a garage. You could store a composite stock auto easily but I wouldn't be storing my A grade beretta out there
