Should I get a iPhone

If I do get one. And made it so i can use any network on it and jailbreak it would i get any problem in the future such as when new firmware updates comes out?

Also can the phone still synce with the computer for emails and address and calander updates etc?
 
Yeah i notice that in the end i did a search and did not know it was a phone lol.... Have you got one yourself? Any comments?

But I do seem to love the look and touch screen of the iphone i just dont know what is stopping me from getting one

Know what your saying mate.... Cant believe how hard it is for me to get one everything else I just normally snap up.....

What do you use mostly on your iPhone to make it worthwhile getting?

What concern me is when I unlock it to work with any sim and jailbreak it. What if a new firmware comes out and make the phone not to work with any sim.....

Also can any version iPhone be unlocked as someone said I got to get hold of a version 1.1.1 or somthing
 
Also...

If I got one and find I am not happy with it can it be returned within the 14 days period? I think it be a bit hard wont it since it be jail broken and unlocked as they would want to know if I have cancelled the o2 contract and the like....

The 3G iPhone 2 has been confirmed by Steve Jobs, and will likely be announced @ Macworld on the 15th of Jan.

GPS is just speculation and rumour though.

Man how am i gunna get around telling the missus i need ANOTHER phone :P

Although i ain't gunna touch it unless i can jailbreak the sukka ;)
 
I love my iPhone its not unlocked or jailbroken, and yes the contract sucks but the free wifi more than makes up for it and there are a lot more cloud hotspots then you think, I have found some in places where their website says there are none
 
I still can't decide if an iphone is worth it, I have a work blackberry but I'm trying to carry it around less so I actually stop working at the weekends so I'm in the market for a new phone.

I have an ipod touch, which I've jailbroked so it's got almost all the same apps as the iphone and I like the idea, plus the adverts catch my imagination (find out what films are on, text a friend, find the nearest cinema etc...sure I could do that all on my blackberry but it's not as easy or integrated and I still carry round an ipod as well).

If a 16GB iphone gets announced i could well be tempted, but then again I'm also tempted by the idea of a nokia 6500 - tiny and seems a reasonable phone plus I'd feel better stuffing it in my pocket when I'm going out, the iphone is still a bit of a brick...

I agree though, I go into the apple store and I could afford to buy one easy but it just doesn't quite seem compelling enough. ultraportable macbook tho, thats a done deal the second it's announced...

I agree.. I can afford to buy more than 1 just that i am careful on what i spend my money and and not to waste it know the saying. i am always buying stuff everytime i hit the town. But I just cant seem to tempt myself it worth getting but i bet having another go at one again tmr knowing me wonder if the wallet comes out this time
