Show Off Your Call Of Duty Warzone Graphics Performance

I'm still using a 3600 but been looking to later upgrade to the 5800X or 5900X. This would probably be my last upgrade for a number of years so not sure which would be best.
5900X, if budget doesnt matter. 5800X is a good buy in my opinion. My 5800X i paid scalp price so paid the same as a 5900X.
Great CPU so the 5900X with it's additional cores isnt going to be worse

This is a good test of performance. Drop here and look out the window, what FPS do you get?
With the 461.09 and 460.89 I had around 60-70fps. 445.87 I hit my fps cap of 90fps+ as seen in screenshot below. This is with Geforce experience filters on, 3440 x 1440
Quite a beefy loss of performance. I'm sure Nvidia are doing similar to Apple and building something into the drivers that cripples 1 generation older tech similar to newer iOS versions on older devices!

Thanks, will look at that upgrade down the line.
Missed some 5800X with damaged boxes yesterday at £289.

As for the drivers, I've noticed a good loss over the months with upgrading the drivers on my laptop. Could be bugs introduced to newer drivers I guess too?

Damn, that is a great price. Who cares if the box is damaged, as long as none of the pins are bent/snapped off!
Drivers, I have tried maybe 10 different ones since 445.87, later 44X.XX, 45X.XX and now 46X.XX.

None seem as stable as this one and a 30fps drop in performance is which frankly disgusting. When my 3080 arrives, i'll be sticking with 445.87 unless it doesnt work at all!

Yeah, I think they sold within a few minutes. I wouldn't care about a box either.

I was tempted to try the older driver but I was advised that the first driver that was suitable for my laptop was 456.38 which I tried reverting to. No difference now.

For some weird reason when i enable V-sync on the OLED it seems to cap both warzone / coldwar at 117 FPS for whatever reason... will not cap at 120:confused:

I think this is normal if you have reflex on so it avoids the extra latency caused by vsync. I have been playing at 4K on new OLED using mostly max settings basically same settings as this thread but with AA off as I find it quite blurry in this game. Lowest it drops is about 59 during the cutscene before jumping out of the plane but remains high in game.

I did try 4K on my ancient 28" TN and it did look extremely nice from a sharpness POV and may well have bought that 27" LG if it was in stock anywhere!

At 1080p I was getting close to 200 max but could be reaching limits of CPU there.

I think I've taken an additional performance hit lately on my laptop.
I think last season with settings set to normal I rarely dipped below 100fps and would regularly hit around 125fps. Now I'm lucky to hit 90fps.

Ah that makes perfect sense as tomb raider which obviously doesn't use reflex locks at a constant 120 which is what i would expect ... i did initially think there was any issue with the tv or firmware :D

Yep from a sharpness pov 4k on the 27" is absolutely stunning, a very noticeable jump from the 1440p/144hz 27GL850 i had previously and makes me wonder what 8K would look like on a 77" As mentioned above i very highly recommend the LG27GN950 if you can get hold of one , you will not be disappointed

As for framerate at 1080p on max settings i seem to get between 280 and 310 but think that's it for the 10900k as the gpu is sitting at 85 to 90% use so i suppose iys cpu bottlenecked ...

Just playing on the OLED and you are absolutely correct , reflex off and caps at 120... was honestly driving me mad so thanks for that :D

Yeah the bit when your in the plane and about to jump out always drops to the lowest point fps wise seen in the game, as you say when on the floor frame rate will never drop that low and remains solid :)

No video, but Titan pascal 1440p mostly high settings (no blur, filmic) I get 110 average, just dipping up 100 and going as high as my limit of 140. Set my cpu cores to 6 in the config file - 5820k. Still haven't found the time to install your 3950x Matt!!

What the hell mate, that’s my beloved 3950X gathering dust on your shelf. :D

Now I've got a nice variety of GPUs, I thought I'd test Call of Duty Warzone performance using competitive settings 1080P, lowest possible settings, but particle effects high, bullet impacts enabled, cache sun/shadows on.

5800X3D
3800CL14
AMD Software Preview Driver May 2022
Nvidia 512.59
Warzone training area, spawn and don't move, wait 15 seconds and take screenshot (if anyone wants to compare performance)

6750XT Red Devil overclocked (gpu name in overlay is wrong, it is a 6750 XT)

6900 XTXH Toxic Extreme overclocked

3090 Founders Edition overclocked

Thanks to the 5800X3D, no GPU is majorly bottlenecked here and GPU utilisation is 95% or so across the board

1440P and 2160P results to follow.

@Duckwave @h4wks @JayG - Thought you guys might find this interesting.
