Show the lads your Silverstone cases

mike thats a work of art mate should be in the tate modern.

I always look on w/c builds in awe

Thanks man, appreciated! It still needs work particularly an internal powder coat, and a digital temp gauge in that hole I've cut in the mid-section just below the lower gpu block but its getting there..:)

Before you replace that give rjkoneil a shout. I am almost certain he squeezed the Lian-Li grille in there, with the aid of a few taps from a rubber mallet IIRC :p

Other than that though, nice looking build. Love the 3 SSD's

Thanks for the tip Diggsy, I'm sure I've also seen a build log he did using that grille, I'll do some searching around, see what I can find.

@ FaceplantSi
Its a big diffe3rence between the fortress and the 300, great rig you got there now especially with 3 SSDs :O !!

Hi Ian - yes there's quite a big difference internally but the external dimensions aren't too dissimilar - one of the reasons this case was on my shortlist due to space restrictions having it in a locking desk. And with the SSD's... well, I couldn't be without them now I've had them a while. Vista is just soooo smooooth, can't wait to get Win7.

nice build si.

I can't help thinking that there's no point in having two fans on your heatsink in a push-pull, when there's an exhaust maybe an inch from the pull fan :p

Thanks m8 and you're probably right about the fans, but I put one of my S12 Noctua's in for the exhaust thinking that a slower fan there should help keep the positive pressure that the designers specced for, so tbh I could prob get rid of the exhaust fan and just have the push/pull setup as is with 2 of the P12 fans. There's quite a good video showing the positive pressure where they remove the exhaust fan and test, and it doesn't seem to make a whole lot of difference. I'll keep an open mind tho until I get my 5.25" bay fan sorted for an additional inlet - hoping to get a bit more cool air in directly to the HSF, we'll see!

I'm also now pondering whether to take off the AC Twin Turbo and replace the stock Powercolour cooler on the 4870 (as that should vent more hot air directly out of the case) - the VRM temps are now higher with no side fan so I have to run the GPU fans at 85% to get the same cooling as 50% previously, and although still not exactly loud they are more audible. I guess I could dremel a side fan into the window, but don't really want to go down that route. Anyone else had this issue? If so any suggestions on things to try?

Cheers to everyone for the comments and suggestions so far etc

Just some pics of a rebuild using my new warranty upgrade parts

Just to post some pics up for the guys that like pics. I have ordered a 3rd GPU for tri SLI should be coming tuesday hopefully purely cos of the 5040x1050 res that i game at. I have rearranged some of my pipes and pumps from my previous build and gone with 5/8 hose as opposed to my previous 3/4 o/d.
One question i do have though if anyone can answer, my psu is a coolermaster 1000w modular with only 4 PCIEs. Can i use the supplied molex to pcie adapters with my gpus to power my third? As 1000w is enough isnt it? Cheers.

Also as well if you get the scythe hdd stabiliser it sits flush with the side panels, looks quite smart:

Cheers Mike, had to be a black ice stealth as all other rads were too thick, I had custom brackets made for me to hold the rad in the roof, fits perfectly, though is very close to the mosfet area on the board:
