*** Show us your bikes! ***

Finally got rid of the CBF 600F, 'orrible bike, heavy, slow and fugly and picked this diversion up a coupla days ago. Worlds apart in comparison, light, easy to ride, reasonable turn of speed, etc, 7400 miles on an 09 plate, well happy with it so far.

Great ride this morning, but ended up riding through some floods..! so treated it to a 3 hour wash when i got home and also fitted the new plate and stomp grip. Thought i'd take a pic.

Eddie,

Please stop posting pictures of your S1000RR. I do not possess the strength of will to resist moving immediately to Autotrader.

I friggin' love this bike.

Hit the nail on the head. Only been looking at them recently, but absolutely stunning bikes. In 3-4 years, I'd like to have one :) Fingers crossed. eh

Very swish. Must be a pleasure to ride after the CBF!

You wouldn't believe how much of a pleasure it is to ride this in comparison to the CBF! All the controls are so light, throttle, clutch, gear change etc, all work extremely well together, the engine, being a retuned/ detuned early R6 lump, is virtually vibration free and is real easy to ride in traffic, slowly, etc due to it being so tractable in the lower range, it'll return a good bit of acceleration too if you give it a fistfull but it'll never catch you out I reckon. The bouncy bits work very well, almost like riding on a billiard table when compared with that old CBF (I reckon the tyres sidewalls were rock hard meself) and its comfy for me as well, a 6' 2", 16 stone lard a**e :p
Would make a perfect bike for someone stepping up to a big bike after passing they're test. The only criticism I have is that on tick over, it really does sound like a sewing machine but I can live with that.

The mighty varadero. :D did about 60 miles on it today, just getting used to it. Gear lever has a little bit of play so might need an adjustment, and the rear brake lever is slightly bent inwards so needs a new one, bit hard to press it at times.

Did a good range of a and b roads, a bit of the a21 dual carriageway and got up to 70 with ease, was knocking on 75 (indicated) downhill with a bit more to go, reckon it'd do 80 on a decent downhill straight.

I think some people see the L plates and assume I'll be slow as ****, was doing 40 in a 40 zone and a range rover and another car overtook me  caught them up half a mile down the road in the national limit where I was doing just over 60 :D

you can bend the levers back into shape with a little heat and a ring spanner:Djust wrap a rag round the lever so not to mark it

rear lever you can pull it out with some force

was doing 40 in a 40 zone and a range rover and another car overtook me

it is the L plates happens to me a lot on my vara. had one plonker in a focus with a trailer over take me in 40 zone today, his trailer nearly wiped me out, ended up riding onto the pavement. damn lucky no one was walking there
