Tempted, not so sure about the logistics from the east mids, Oxford , Brighton then home again in a day.

(your right about the nut thumping, i can see a gel pad being stuck there) Sad news is i dont have any time to ride for the next 2 weeks :( Hopefully it might have warmed up by then, 2008 and its only done 3200 miles.

Has it done 3200 miles around roundabouts or is it the pic that makes the rear tyre look like a slick :D

Awesome looking bike though, Sharp rear end stubby tuck away exhaust, Looks great.

Picked this up on Saturday! Most uncomfortable bike I have owned, but the best handling... and the sound - oh the sound! 2011 Ducati 848 Evo. Need to update my signature...

Some ******* called me a failed RAC man at work today. So i twisted his phone cable round and round and round and round.

mwhaaaaaaaaaaa..

Not yet. Currently deciding whether or not taking the db killer out is a good idea... :)

I took mine out a ran for a while without it. Some really nice pops and crackles :D However, didn't run great at idle and low revs in general.
I came to a compromise and chopped 2" off the baffle/db killer like so:

Which gave me more noise, some pops and crackles sometimes, but restricted the exhaust gases still letting it run smooth. I created a thread where the rivet was and used an allen/hex screw to keep it held in place. You could use a self tapper though.

Try without and do a test run.

Apparently you can flash the Arrow 3-1 exhaust map which helps if you take the baffle out. I think I want it a bit louder, but not too much.

Can you just take the rivet out and use a bolt/nut, or do you need a thread or self-tapped screw?

That's a cracking bike I loved riding one, the sound is just amazing. It really could do with a hydraulic clutch and the indicator moving.

I drilled out the middle of the rivet to remove it and had to create a thread for a screw because there wasn't enough space for the nut to go on a bolt, it's quite tight on mine but i do have a different MiVV can i think (i have the carbon end cap).

Not as posh as some of the nice shiny machines here but I love them.

My first nine. Bought March 2011. Been in family since import in 1985. Professionally built motor with Thunderace cams. Quite loud.

My second nine. A calmer thing. Bought in January 2013 and used for about 8 weeks before taking off the road with a sick motor. Currently being rebuilt. Engine done, awaiting some new parts and hoping to have this ready again for summer use.

I want for no other (well exept maybe a later GPZ1100) lol.

Nothing wrong with the GPZ 9 fella, bloody lovely bike, friend of mine had one back in the 80s, well until he wrapped it round a tree, not his fault, he hit a pheasant. :p

I owned a gpz900r many moons ago fitted a set of flatslides but before I sorted the bike a dealer bought her, I had a switch to turn the radiator fans on manual lol think it was a common problem.

Also i have some parts from when I owned the 900r a front wheel and the top front faring you are welcome to them for a beer if want to collect.

Yep, and i just got rid of a Zx9 C1, that really was hard decision to sell or keep and potter with over the coming years. I know i am going to regret selling it like every other that has left for new pastures.

Still leaves room for a RGV 250 if i ever get round to getting one. Not sure how it would cope with my weight though :)

I'm running on a tight budget but am really looking forward to taking my A2 out again after the rebuild. I've seen some very nice bespoke builds lately but I really don't like the idea of losing the lowers which is something a lot of them seem to do.

I'm in Staffs matey if you really want to part with those parts, definately I can afford a beer ;) Much appreciated. I have just won a nice pair of sidepanels and a top fairing but as I have two bikes (the other has fibreglass upper, I could use the top fairing for sure as I do plan to have the A1 painted soon.

The switch fan deal is a worthy idea although both mine are working with a lower temp sensor in the housing so they switch in fairly well and reliably but I know on the hotter days it's a valid mod!

Inbox me if you like or use the trust feature.

Got round to sticking the LED indicators and new exhaust on mine. Think it possibly needs a tail tidy next:

I've been looking at these and the streets this weekend, hopefully taking them for a test ride, what are your thoughts on it? Pros and cons? They are gorgeous bikes!!! Will be Buying brand new

They are both great bikes, the speed is showing it's age a little imo (in the engine department anyway). But i do love the 'R version in white that came out in 2011/12.

The street is a fantastic bike too. Engine is the highlight, very perky and the handling is awesome sublime. (oh, and they both sound awesome!)
