Beautiful bike, definitely on my list of possible future bikes if I grow out of the SV. The one single thing I don't like on them is the instruments which appear to have been levered out of the dashboard of an early 80's American car :(

I would disagree on the instruments. :D

I think they add to the uniqueness and quirkyness of the Mille which it has over its competition. The styling is the same, you either love or loathe the "Flash gordon" type rear end or you don't. That and also the clocks themselves do exactly what it says on the tin - give you all the info you need and lots more. The lap timer initiated by pressing the high beam flash being another quirk pointing towards the true design thinking behind the whole bike - a track tool!!.

Nice RSV bru - Good to see another Mille owner on here. Is this your first RSV?. If so, any questions just ask. There's not much I don't know about them. ;)

Also, get yourself over to the Zone and say hello if you haven't already done so :-

I'm sure the Mille will put a huge grin on your face. Despite being reasonably old hat there really isn't much on the road, two or four wheels that will stay with a well sorted RSV from point to point.

I'm sure the instruments are perfectly functional, they just look so plastic and square - they seem to have none of the Italian design flair that the rest of the bike oozes. Still, it's a very minor point and completely subjective - certainly wouldn't put me off owning one.

The instruments are incredibly functional, got everything you could ever want and then some (including fault codes etc for diagnostics). Yes they look a bit dated (bearing in mind that the bike was released 11 years ago though!) but they do a very good job :) . The clocks on the newer RSV reset the mileage if you leave a battery off them for example, bit of a backwards step!

I've just got my 57mm throttle bodies for my bike :) . Just need to get them fitted and a remap and I'll be well sorted!

Is that not slightly illegal? For instance you try sell a bike but get no where as millage is high. so take out battery leave it a while put back in run about then say its got less milage?

It's not illegal to just change the reading on an odometer. The illegal part would be passing off a modified odometer as the genuine mileage if selling the bike.

Le Mans

Been to Le Mans and had an awesome time - loved the gixxer on track and just need to sort the suspension out and add a few more ponies for what will surely be a wicked track bike!

The ending here is very unfortunate for some bikers (Filmed with my gopro HD Hero)!

To be replaced by this one as primarily a track bike -->
