Nice Tornado, cracking backdrop to that photo, Eilean Donan castle I presume?.

Nice CBR there too, peteh. All these pics and talk of venturing out for a first ride of 2011 is making me want to get cracked on and do it too. Got the Mille hooked up to a Datatool battery optimiser but she hasn't been started since the end of September. My fault, should have been trying to start it a few times a month but just didn't get around to it. Went to start her today and she turns over but won't start. Going to get the battery off and give it a good charge before trying again as I'm bound to screw the sprag clutch up, just my luck. Planning to get out for a first ride this week sometime, will post pics.

Started mine up for the first time since October and it started on the first prod of the button . As long as you've had it on an optimate you won't have anything to worry about, the horror stories are not quite as bad as people make out!

The advantage of riding an old beater, don't mind getting it a bit wet, and I'm not too afraid of dropping it (not that I'm trying to!). Done the UK > Cambs trip a few times, little cold but it's only really my fingers that are suffering :(

Just fired her up this morning, started first time. Good auld Aprilia, who says Italian bikes can't be reliable as well as gorgeous?. :D

Not bad going, she's been sat still through the Winter since September and never moved. Roads are dry but a bit frosty here but I'm tempted to take her out for a quick blat later this afternoon.

Taken up around the Cat n Fiddle area last year :)

Bike isn't anywhere near as shiny now, since riding through the winter

Found these on an old hard drive.

Fire Service bike owners run out, somewhere West of Glencoe, can't recall exactly where.

Some bikes

Thought I'd post a few of my family's bikes. First, my beloved Honda CB1300.

My 1982 Superdream. Was my first bike back in 2003, and while it was slow and heavy, I find there's something really special about it. Currently in pieces in the garage awaiting a rebuild.

My Granddads 1937 Norton, in fantastic condition given its age. He still rides it amazingly.

Here's my 1996 Thunderace:
s1050837large.jpg

She had an incident a couple of months back where she was parked in a marked motorbike bay, a driver went past her, then reversed into her doing a 3 point turn. He "didn't see it". I had a total of 1 panel undamaged on the whole bike. His insurance wanted to write it off, I didn't, we came to an agreement and I took a gamble and ordered a whole aftermarket fairing from an eBayer in Hong Kong. To be honest, it worked out better than I hoped - here she is in her new clothes. :)
