*** Show us your bikes! ***

Arrrggghhhh, seeing pictures like this (of the bike, not you, perv :p) makes me think "no, keep the trumpet", but part of my brain is still telling me "mmmmm, 1000cc nom nom nom", and a smaller part is saying "go on, you didn't give the gixxer 750 much time, get another" :D

I know I look good in leathers ;)

To be honest if I still had the 750 I would never have considered a 1000, the 750 has more than enough power anybody needs on the road, only reason I got the thou is I got so much bike for £4k! and its physical size is the same as my old bike so is going to be great for touring, I reckon if I still had the 750 I would be buying a 675 as a dedicated track bike right now :p

That would out sell the CBR and Ninja 125's if Triumph did a 125 Daytona!

I have seen a Triumph Speed Four but think it would be a very bad idea as a first bike so I am going to force myself to buy a 500cc (GS500, ER5) or possibly a Fazer600 or Bandit.

The Fazer is a pretty good bike, but you should be looking at an SV650 instead of a Bandit. It's a much more involving ride and they are lighter and better on fuel. If you want a 500 twin go for either a late GPZ500 or a Honda CB500, both vastly better bikes than the sluggish GS500 and ER5.

I did look at the SV650 but it seems the Fazer's are better priced. Plus my bike hunting skills pretty much don't exist :D

I have seen a CB500 with 17k miles on a 51 plate, blue with gold wheels for £1700. or there is a Fazer with 13k miles on a Y plate (6months older than the CB500) for the same money.

I am trying to steer clear from the full fairing bikes like the GPZ as it will be a first bike as a new rider.

Sorry to picture whore... but I just ordered this from the processional photographer that was there at the track. :D

The track day organisers always have an official photographer at track.

It was only £3 for the digital high-res JPG. They did offer print services too.

Finally got mine back together after the winter strip down and a newly painted tank, went for my first ride of the year too.

Turned out to be a shed, buggered electrics etc etc.
Got my CBR600FS back.

That got stolen 6months later, used in a drive-by shooting, insurance spiked.

Bought and still have this.

I'm not a biker but do appreciate the lines of a nice looking one. I've no idea if this bike is any good or not but I took a couple of pics of it on sunday as I came out of a shopping centre.

I used to love the Repsol colours but like many racing paint schemes I feel like it has got old pretty quick, much prefer the HRC colours imo.

Still, a lovely bike though :)

I don't have any pics of my first bike (CBR125R) but after passing my DAS this Yamaha Thundercat is my current bike.

Looks nice! I kept the Thundercat in mind as a potential first big bike but didn't see one at the dealers I went to so never got a chance to try one.
