*** Show us your Dogs ***

I always laugh when I see a big dog like that on an extenable lead. I'll let you off though becasue he has the halter neck on. Great for lead training. I can walk mine without restraint more often that not thanks to using a halter when they were younger but they are too excitable so I put them on just in case.

99 times out of 100 he's fine on a lead now. The only problem is his energy and excitability around other dogs. He's overzealous at playtime and some dogs don't like that, especially the older or much smaller dogs, so I can only let him off the lead at certain times.

I'm desperate to get a dog when I move into the house I'm currently buying as it's been years since I've had a chance to have one, and a few years before that since my old dog died. my girlfriend doesn't think it would be fair though as I'm out of the house mon-fri 9-5 and frequently out in the evening, working or otherwise. Not sure what my best course of action would be, a cat is the simple answer, but obviously it's not the correct one.

14 Years old and still a big puppy...

A miniature dachshund could be what you're looking for. We got Lola for £300 IIRC, and she's very loving and affectionate, but isn't at all phased about putting Rocky in his place when needed.

Unfortunately I think I need to have one of my two dogs put down this week, just a case of picking a day and doing the deed. She's had a good run though. :)

Meantime, pic of our one year old black lab "Pickle" to follow.....

Womble - Some suluki cross ????? lurcher type rescue thing!

Weasel - Some lurcher, pretty much almost 100% greyhound

Winni - Another lucrher rescue - god knows what crossed with what but reckon there's collie in there (RIP 1997 run over aged one :( Never seen another dog like her and probably never will :()

Mollywog - Lurcher cross wolf hound :D

Moog - Another lurcher rescue, but lurcher my backside! More staffy than anything.

@ The Asgard - Those claws look a bit too long, bet they have some fun on wooden/tiled flooring! They're pretty easy to trim though, my parents lab is old and light on her feet and gets long claws so we have to trim them.
