They are American Akitas. Euro Akita's do not have the black mask.

you must have a better screen than me , yeah i reckon GSD too, but then looking at Greebo's pic's just further down, it looks quite similar to his lurcher

Is Nemo a Manchester terrier?

Almost! He's actually an English Toy Terrier, but huge for the breed. 16-17" vs 10-12". So he's the size of a Manchester. The ears are the easiest difference to spot. ETT's have erect, candle-flame shaped ears, whilst Manchesters fold over.

In the US I believe that some folks crop the ears of Manchesters to make them erect. Over there, the ETT is known as a Toy Manchester.
