Got a quick question for those with Bengals and allergies.. Are you less allergic to Bengals than you are with other cats?

I've heard in the past that Bengals are meant to be better for allergy sufferers due to their coat but am not sure how true this is! I'm desperate to get a cat but my gf suffers badly with allergies. I took her to a rescue home to look at some cats and she had a bad reaction after being there for about 30mins! If shes any better with Bengals then I'd happily get one instead of a rescue moggy, ideally I'd have to find a breeder around me and get her to come with me and see them.

Well I know bengals have a single coat and don't moult as much compaired to my mogs, not sure about allergies tho.

I've allergies towards cats and dogs and my Bengals don't effect me or set off my asthma, but I would suggest being in the presence of one to see if you're affected by their fur.

I'm hoping that will be the same for my gf, either that or I find a new one! :D

I'll have to see if I can find any breeders near me that will let me go and test my gf out with the cats.

He looks big!
That photo was taken up close whilst he was sat on my girlfriends lap. He is tiny compared to most cats, his brother is over twice the size of him yet still gets picked on by his smaller sibling.

And then you go and post a picture like that and make me want a cat even more!
I doubt you'll have to much trouble finding a breeder as they are quite a popular exotic cat. I'll be surprised if your girlfriends allergies are affected as there hair is ever so short, fingers crossed for you though.

Do anyone else's cats get a bit "down" at this time of the year ? Murray always seems a little sad over winter when its cold and raining. He hates going out in it but also doesn't really like being inside during the day.

The pair of them have loads of toys and such and we play with them but he just seems down again (same as last year). I've just got them one of those massage things and the circuit toy to see if that perks him up.

We don't have a cat flap so for the last couple of nights while the fireworks have been around, I've kept the cats in. Sam loves being out, he hasn't seemed depressed as such but he's just been wild! Fighting with Poppy, attacking shoes, loo rolls, clawing the carpet... Nightmare...

My cat died this morning at the age of 16, i'll post a picture in a bit.

That is very sad :( When my other cat died I said to myself that I gave it a good home and a good life so I will do the same again with another cat/other pet :)

Uploading those 2 have just taken about an hour due to Photobucket being massively ****, and seemingly full of adverts :(
