Show us your kitty cats

He's probably broken a claw. Which if it breaks far down enough can bleed. Dave did it in on the fence once.

Go careful, cos if the broken bit is sharp, it could hurt him elsewhere. Dave ended up with a scratch on his eye which needed antibiotics. He did it cleaning himself and caught the broken claw on his eyeball.

Can you get hold of him and check the state of the claw, just in case. :)

He seems to be ok with it, was using the scratch post again all yesterday evening. Checked his paw and haven't seen any fresh blood there. Must have just caught it once, he hasn't been complaining at all.

I check this thread daily for that awwww factor but there's been a distinct lack of cute cat photos recently. You lot shape up now ffs.

I was thinking that very same thing, so I uploaded some potato camera shots.

do they really go limp when you pick them up?
Two of my friends have ragdolls and theirs don't.

This is Floyd, a 'feral' cat that my parents feed.

He was born feral, but unlike his mum and sister decided that he liked being stroked and brushed. He gets a mix of cat biscuits and left-overs, as well as hunting down small rodents and lizards.

He turns up morning and evening for food and petting then sods off and does secret cat stuff the rest of the time. Sometimes comes into the house and sits around for a bit.

They built him and his sister a really nice cat house last year for winter, but there's a possibility that he'll become a housecat this year. The sister had kittens then vanished with them, one kitten then found its way back to the house, so they found it a home.

"Selling my cat as I've just had a baby." OK, and...?
"We're moving house"... And?

I think the issue is that a lot of people, when attaining a pet, make a decision in a few minutes.

When buying a car you spend more than a few minutes deciding.
When getting married you spend time deciding. Most marriages last less than 10 years.
Yet, when buying a pet who will live for about 15 years, they spend 5 minutes deciding.

With regards to having a baby - the owner needs to assess if their cat is safe around babies. I've had 3 cats and all would be perfectly safe around a child. In fact, the cats would run away from the baby, if it came to them.

I am a strict disciplinarian though, so this would explain why my cats never scratch human beings. My sister's cats both scratch. When I bought my Bengal kitten, he had a bad habit of scratching/biting, but he no longer does this (after lots of shouting). My Egyptian Mau has never scratched.

As for moving home - there is no excuse on this one.

What breed is the cat?

She is a Snow Lynx Bengal, coming up to two years old now, when she was a baby she was mostly white, but as they get older her coat/markings get darker.

This is what she was like when we first got her at 12 weeks, Here is another one of her from a few weeks ago.

I'd actually agree. People generally attach value to something with a monetary outlay. If you have to pay x for something, chances are you're going to invest more time to make she it works out.

That said, if it's just your local ***** flogging on a bunch of tomcats.. :/

I'd rather someone sell their cat than give it away. Less likely that some awful human being will "adopt" the cat to "play" with their pit bull :(

I mean with regards to re-homing. I don't see an issue with breeders selling kittens, I see it as being quite different.

That's mostly my fault, sorry! I could start another thread for cat related discussion, so as to keep this one purely for pics?

I think you will get best advice from people who incessantly post photos of their cats on the internet. So post away here :p

No need, just post pics of your cat every now and again and this thread will be the best of both worlds.
