Show us your kitty cats

I think your family must have had experience with some down right badly looked after cats in their time. I feed wet food only and the only time their poo smells is when I decide to treat them with tuna or braised steak or something. Otherwise, it really doesn't smell at all. Neither does their wee.

I do clean the litter tray whenever I notice it has been used though. I don't just leave it until set times of the day. Even so, as I said, I have to look at it to see if the litter has been disturbed since I last cleaned it or else I wouldn't know they had been as it really just doesn't smell.

Do you have a cat flap? I'm guessing it would be just about bearable for a couple of weeks before the cat goes outside.

Would your housemates not let you have it in the bathroom or summat?

Thought your parents hated cats? Are you planning to shut the kitty in your room all the time?

Nope. This is the plan.

I will take one week off work when we get Mr/Mrs Puss. She will start with me in my bedroom, keeping her "territory" small to start with, and letting her getting used to me. Any accidents will occur in my room where I can find them first and hide the evidence ;)

Over the next couple days I'll let her out to explore the wider world of our home. Again I'll be there all the time to watch (and play) and see she gets settled in.

After that week she'll have the run of the house and will have to amuse herself while I'm at work. Mum will basically just ignore her.

Well that all sounds very sensible. And if your mum hates the cat you end up moving out, is that the plan?

Yes, but he does what he wants and isn't asking for your input :P

I don't always ignore people ;) In this thread I'm grateful for all the input, including yours, and Captain Planet's, despite what we may have said in that other thread.

@AJK. Yes I'm a mental mate case mate. You want to start something? I'll mess you up.

Yes. We agreed on a trial of anything from two weeks to a month.

If she can't live with the kitteh I find a new place to live as quickly as possible.

Frankly I am 100% determined to have kitty at all costs. Yes this probably makes me unhinged. No I don't care.

If I live on my own I will have more than one kitty. I will be crazy cat man supreme.

;) Was just a friendly jibe :p

So are you going to be moving out any time soon (I would hope so!)?

If you're going into rented it will be difficult if you have the cat and it doesn't seem like your parents are going to let it stay there.

You sure this is the right time?

It's now or never,
Come hold me tight
Kiss me my kitteh,
Be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late,
It's now or never
My love won't wait.

P.S please stop saying 'kitteh'. You're a 34 old man ffs.

You sure? From his other thread...

And you don't understand. I need a cat :p Living without a cat is making me increasingly unhappy. This kitteh is going to make life bearable again (assuming it doesn't hate me :p :)) Everything else can wait.

Wow... seriously dude...
