Show us your kitty cats

thats the "hey the other guys ran out of food so I'm back" face :p

It would seem so. I think we should put a collar on him but the GF is against the idea for fear that he might get caught on a fence or something and trapped.

He is chipped, might have to purchase a drone with the air to surface to missile option and once the recon comes back and it is confirmed, press fire.

My mums cat has eaten actual cat food twice since she got her.

She was a rescue cat and a year old.

The vet advised starving her for about 3-4 days and putting cat food down - she ignored it and made herself sick with hunger.

She is now trying a raw diet which seems to be going ok but it will work out around £110-£125 a month(I reckon she could get it cheaper than the vets though)

My two are now on adult food and madder than ever :) they are super cuddly though, the little girl especially when I'm playing GTA or on conference calls from home!

wut?

mackerel , sardines, chicken etc is not that expensive. (i don't say tuna as its a high predator sop potential mercury issues)

Heck for that amount it would be cheaper to by and air rifle and hunt your cat a few rabbits each month.

20 quid will get you 5 killos of great quality chicken from makro

Exactly! It was a vet recommendation but I have already said to her to just feed the cat pretty much what you just said as I'm sure it will be fine as she will and has eaten all those things I the past.

Hard headed mother listening to vet to the detriment of her bank account lol.

just avoid garlic/onions cats don't tolerate them.

(not that theres any point to feed cats plants)

i found a good thing was to stick some chopped up bits in a little zipllock bag then put it in a bowl of hot water till it reached a nice body temperature helped the cat eat it.

Hehehe. Funny reply.

A lot of people want a packet saying, "This food is for cats".
As you said though, best to pop down to a butcher or even a supermarket and see what meat they have available.
You can buy small portions of different types of meat and see which your cat goes for. Then buy more of the meat which your cat liked.

Myself, I buy raw beef mince from Iceland (£5/KG) and mix this with whiskas in jelly. This has worked fine for my cats for the last few years.

Paying £110/month - this is more than what some people spend on their monthly eat. There are people eating from food banks because they can't afford a can of baked beans and yet we have cats who eat like Kings. Bizarre.

tried real food? like tuna or chicken or beef etc?

She'll only eat treats, nothing else. So I'm cutting them out.

Actually it's driving me crazy. She's is yowling, maximum volume, will not eat anything at all, except the freeze-dried treats.

I know there's nothing wrong with her because she's still playing and running around the house like a loon.

She's just decided to be a prima donna, and it's annoying as hell. The yowling just will not stop (she's neutered).

It's attention seeking. With Treacle, when he gets the 10pm crazies and starts attacking the furniture, then my leg and other random stuff just for attention and therefore snacks, he just gets shut in the kitchen.

She's done this before, about a fortnight after I had her. Stopped eating for a few days. Took her to the vet and he said absolutely nothing wrong that he could see.

Then she went straight back to eating 2 pouches a day, of exactly the same food she refused. I think she's just mental.

silly little tuxedo.... she has to reminds us that she is not a black cat every
now and then

cats are very good at hiding their problems, if your worried then take her to the vets and have some blood work done, i lost both my cats in the last 9 months at a young age, one had a stroke the other had tumours, they seemed fine in the days leading up to losing them :/

Got 2 cats brother and sister and they are 5 years old who we have had since they were kittens. We may need to take 2 young kittens in who are both male, we would take care to integrate them but is it going to be a disaster?

I've recently integrated a kitten with my two 3 year old cats. It's not been easy, and one of my cats kept disappearing for over a week at a time as he wasn't happy about the tiny invader. He ended up being put under house arrest for the last almost 3 weeks as I've moved house this weekend, and I couldn't risk him not being there when I needed to move. This kind of forced the issue, and they ended up being much better together.

The kitten is a confident little bugger which helped I am sure, as he just kept trying and trying with both the cats. I wouldn't say they are friends, but they will certainly now be in the same room, close to eachother without any major issues. The one I had to put under house arrest and the kitten have even started play fighting together. (There was no hissing from either of them when they were playing so I knew it was all ok, to start with, there was lots of hissing and head bashing with their paws from the grown up cats)

I am hoping another period of house arrest for all of them now I have moved with mean they will carry on making friends.

It's been 2 months so far, and we're slowly getting there. :)

Hope that helps :)
