Show us your kitty cats

Most cats will adapt to living in the wild.

I'm not sure you'll be able to back that up with evidence. A lot of pet cats die after being "released" into the "wild". At the very least they end up suffering a great deal with fleas, mange, etc.

Either way it's an incredibly stupid and heartless thing to do to any animal.

Uh huh, I have family that lives in a rented farm house. They have a lot of ferral cats from the farm and quite a few die (worms being the biggest issue).

The farmer had quite a lot of them removed too, not sure what that consisted of..

Lost one of mine on Christmas night :(

We got a phone call from a guy who found him and got his number from the tag.

I rang up the crematorium and left a message not expecting a reply, couldn't believe it when they rang back 10 mins later and apologised for not answering the call!

Took him up there on Boxing Day and collected him yesterday, waiting on the ornament to bury him.

RIP Renė

Jonny, how stable is that?

I would like to get something tall for the kitchen area for my two, but things with single thin posts supporting a platform usually wobble around in my experience.

Pretty stable to be honest at the bottom is quite heavy.

Poppy isn't the lightest and she doesn't make it move much. She loves sleeping up high, I'm 5' 11 and can't see her unless she outs her head over

Got it from zooplus website and its called Catherine. Doesn't take up much space which is why we got it.

Mrs is on the hunt for a ginger boy kitten she can cuddle the hell out of. They are a lot more passive apparently?

Female torts being birches? Poppy is pretty laid back and has about a million different whines depending if she's merely annoyed, ****ed off or wants to ring your face off.

Surely this can't be comfortable?

I'm so sorry, I do know what you are going through. Big hugs :(

Sorry to hear that nst68. Also, Renė - great name for a cat :)

We've still got his sister Edith.

They were born on the sofa when Allo Allo was on :D

Thanks, one of our others was knocked over and killed 18 months ago, it's the definite down side of having cats.

Still got 6 cats and 6 dogs left!

^^ im after a torti kitten, im jelous :)

They seem to be popular at the moment! I was looking for one for a while and every ad that appeared they would be gone within a couple of hours!

Dawww. My cousin has two torties and one of them is called Ember. How weird :)

It's a good name; her patterning kinda looks like the glowing coals of a fire/bbq... if you squint your eyes a little bit :p

She's a female, what did you expect? :D:p:D

Cute too.

Hehe, this is true! Our other female cat is much more chilled out though, doesn't give a **** about anything :p

Cat picked up by local rehoming centre and they took him to the vets. It turns out he has had quite a bit of work done recently. He has been chipped (but not registered), castrated, etc. Why he was dumped we just can't figure, it's really weird. We wonder if the cat was in a car as the car was stolen and they dumped the cat off? Just makes no sense.

He's at a foster home now and the centre will be trying to track the vets who implanted his chip. Maybe his owner is out there desperately looking for him.
