Show us your kitty cats

Just picked up my first kittens and i cant believe how cute they are, even cuter then i expected.I bought them from my friends sister whoz cat got pregnant after going out for the first time.We brought home two brothers at eight weeks and put the carrier down next to they're bed and left the door open for them to come out in they're own time.I expected them to be shy and stay in there for a while but they came out nearly instantly and have been jumping about and exploring constantly for two hours!
They are currently playing with each other under my bed after trying to pull everything and anything under there with them, including my iPod!
Will upload pics tomorrow when i can get hold of half decent camera.

My babies are A YEAR OLD today!

Can't believe we got our little lady so far - we thought we were going to lose her at 8 weeks with horrific cat flu. She's had a fairly long road to recovery, it kept recurring, she's got skin problems... Has cost us a fortune but she's soooo lovely :)

Snuggling up - I know it's not great quality. Poppy at the back and Sam at the front :)

Anybody got any tips on how to stop my kittens from chewing cables?
I tell them off when I'm in the house and carry them away from any cables they start munching but is there anything i can do when i'm not in the house to prevent them from chewing them? Right now all i can do is unplug everything before i go out.

Guys I want a cat but I need some advice.

Now we would want a kitten, can grow up with the dogs then and be used to them etc.

But anyway, my main concern is this and please forgive my ignorant questions:

Can a cat be trained to crap outside?
Will a kitten be ok on their own (only wanting one) in the house or will they destroy everything? or do you put them in a cage?

Obviously when here can give the kitten all the attention it wants but both me and my sister who live here work full time so it'd be on its own for 8 or so hours a day.

Thoughts welcome :)

You dont need to train them, they just do it.

I have this problem with my Bengal.

Whenever I see him doing this I shove a pen into his mouth, which he also likes to chew. Once he chews the pen for a few minutes, his need to chew temporarily goes away.

Other than that, you have to be careful.

You could also try shouting loud at them whenever you see them chewing cables. I do this with my Bengal, but he is too dumb to realise why I am shouting, so you may have better luck.

I've had to spiral cable tidy all the cables in the office due to them getting the munchies in here!

Typically now they decide to come in just to rest and cuddle and don't care about the cables, well at least it looks tidier :D
