Just had a text...
He's at the vets to have his vac...turns out hes blind in one eye, the vet thinks he was shot with a pellet gun which caused the abscess and hes got to have his eye removed.
I'm still prepared to offer him a home, at the end of the day he's still the same cat I met a week or so ago. Although there might be a few pirate jokes floating around now....

Quick query, our male cat Ben, now 9 months old has started being a bit weird!! They used to come in about 10-11, ness around till 12 then sleep through, started giving him more time outside now from about 8am-midnight and have gotten a cat flap fitted yesterday, the last few nights he wakes up, goes out a little bit in the morning, sleeps till about 3-4pm, goes out till about 12, sleeps on the bed with my gf till about 2-2:30 (He's just got up now) then the last few nights he has started just sitting on the sofa/floor/anywhere else, just looking round, manically, eyes all big really focusing on stuff that we can't see, like he would if there was a spider/fly in the room he could spot!
Don't know if its the heat or just him developing from kitten to cat & getting very alert! (Trying to get him catflap trained so he can go in & out as he wishes!)
