Show us your kitty cats

If your cat bites you hard (not play biting), slap him around the face, with 2 fingers. Do it immediately, so that he knows exactly why he is being reprimanded. You can also make a loud noise when he bites. This further reinforces the idea that his action is hurting you.

Had the cat been with its mother, if he got out of line, he would've received a similar slap around his muzzle, by his mother.

If you don't discipline these animals at a young age, they will grow up to scratch and bite humans - something which I think is unacceptable. At an older age, when they bite/scratch, it will be a lot more painful.

Discipline is VERY important and it is unfortunate that most pet owners have no idea about this.

Finally uploaded a couple of my cats :-

This is Bella, this is where she spends her day, seriously almost all day...

I have a pretty good sense of humour but thats such a ****ty thing to do.

I find a tap on the nose of the cat with a firm alpha NO to do the job. I agree with you about disciplining a cat when they're younger but not all cats bite when they're kittens, some start when they're adults.

We are looking after a Bengal (i think) cat that was in a bad way, he had major surgery the other day and is currently recovering. Hes kept in our bathroom at the moment (have 6 other cats in the house) except he escaped earlier out the small window. Wasnt expecting him to return as hes about 10 miles away from where he was found before but he did come home :)

Will try to get a pic up tomorrow of him.

Well, the colouring of her fur, is referred to as smoke. But as far as I am aware, only Egyptian Maus have smoke coloured fur.

The smoke coloured Egyptian Maus are truly stunning looking cats. I've seen pictures of them, but wasn't impressed, but when I saw them in the flesh, they appear almost ghostly.

Here's an excuse to post a pic of my bronze Egyptian Mau:

And here he is doing battle with a cat 50% larger than him:

I loooove my cats. But I could have launched one of them across the room last night.... :(

I know its love, I know its affection, But when you open your eyes at 2am in the morning to a little cat purring and meowing because shes proud of bringing you a spider....Its enough to make you fallout with her...

I have never gone from asleep to awake so fast in my life...

Try a soaking wet frog on your chest at 3am in the morning.

New picture of my sisters cat, say hello to TC (Top Cat)
