Show us your kitty cats

Remember this from the begining of November?

The kittens are now 6 months old and growing rapidly, especially Oscar. Both have had the snip and been micro chipped and are venturing outside. They took to the micro chip cat flap straight away which left me flabbergasted as it took my adult cats a while to get used to it. Oscar is massive, and at his last weigh in was 4.76kg which put's him almost two kilos heavier than his sister Cleo and 0.75kg heavier than Abby who is 13 years old. Whereas Cleo is gentle (mostly) and thinks about things before doing them, Oscar is like a tank and goes barging in without thinking. Their first venture into the garden was a prime example of this. We have a 6 foot high fence at the side of the house with horizontal planks with gaps between each one. Oscar ran at the fence and tried jumping at it which resulted in a epic fail and bouncing off. Cleo was watching him and then walked up to the fence and climbed it like a ladder. Oscar then copied her but now they were both on top of the fence walking towards each other from opposite ends and something had to give when they met in the middle. Oscar jumped off the fence onto what I presume he thought was going to support him and promptly vanished into the centre of my Spirea bush. The poor chap couldn't get out so he was screaming his head off until I assisted him. He hasn't done that since!! Out the front there is a cherry blossom tree and they can both easily climb it just by using their very sharp claws. Once up there they run around as if they lived in trees all the time, it's unreal. They were stalking a Robin the other day and it was leading them on a very merry dance going from bush to fence to shed to fence and back to bush. It was on the fence with them both at the bottom staring up at it when it flew off and Oscar started screaming at it as if to say it had a cheek for flying off and not jumping into his mouth. My neighbour was with me watching them play and we both looked at each other and she said that's a new one on her as she had never seen a cat do that before. The pair of them do some really funny and often strange things from time to time. Abby still doesn't like them although she is mellowing towards them a bit. She even sniffed them yesterday without growling!! Anyway here are some pictures although it's very difficult getting decent images outside as they don't stay still long enough.

Well this is the "kittens" now at a week under 8 months:-

That bed is 600mm x 480mm. Oscar or Ozzy as we call him most of the time is gigantic. His front paws with his toes spread out are the size of my wife's palm. One of my neighbours came over on Christmas eve with some pressies for the cats (we all get pressies for each other's cats every year around here) and Ozzy and Cleo came downstairs to see who came calling and to get extra strokes and her actual words when she saw Ozzy were "my god, he's massive"!! She has a pair of cats, brother and sister as well and I thought that her male cat, Hardy was big but she reckons Ozzy is already bigger than him. They both slept on our bed for the first time last night (kept the door closed previously as Abby hates them) and the wife and I were pushed to the edges of the bed with the two "kittens" taking up all of the middle by stretching out. Even Cleo is bigger than Abby now and Abby is 13 years old. I would love to know what type of cat the father is!!

Cleo chilling after Ozzy cooked her (his coat is like a thick duvet and really heats you up).

I know what you mean. I bought a really nice thick warm down gilet that I can never use. Angel steals it every time.

I've learnt to be sharp, but the Oh puts down fresh washed, ironed, bought and bags down and the cat accepts it as a new bed all the time
Most of the time I cant find it in me to move her, on occasion she's been asleep in the office chair and I wheel it out of the way and get another chair.

Cats can jump impressively high. Even our lazy mare can do a 6 foot jump to the top of the brick wall along the side of the house. Any place they can look down on the staff is good.

How on earth did he/she get up there?

On a side note, is that one of those curved canopies you bolt to the wall (this sort of thing)? If so how strong is it and how does it hold up to strong winds?

Yes it is similar to that and 2m in length, but as this part of the house is an L shape I have the canopy bolted to the side wall and the curve is big enough to give us full shelter.
To this I have also fitted 80mm guttering with a downpipe that feeds directly in the waste and because of this and the low wall the downpipe is fixed to, it makes it super sturdy and she only has 50cm to jump up to get on.
This part faces directly West and never suffers from strong winds.

He’s a Norwegian forest cat. 1 year and 9 months old at the moment.

They take around 5 to mature so he still has almost a kitten like face despite his size :)
