What a pair of beauties :)

I think the kittens are confused as to what they should be bringing home. It started with Oscar or Ozzy as we call him most of the time. I was in the living room and I heard the catflap open and then Ozzy running around "playing" with something in the kitchen. I went out to the kitchen thinking he had caught a bird again to find him on his back chucking a stick in the air and catching it before picking it up and running around with it while excited making crying noises (they still don't meow). The biggest he has managed to bring in was around 2.5 feet long and how the hell he got it through the flap I don't know. Now Cleo has started doing the same and we get multiple sticks brought in everyday. They play with one until they get bored then go outside only to come in with another later on. Of course the "human slave! (me) has to pick up the discarded sticks along with any bits they break off. I have never seen this from any of my previous cats so does anybody elses cats think they are dogs?

I am looking at getting Ozzy and Cleo insured on whole of life policies so was wondering who is the best for cat cover and how much do you pay per cat per month? I just got a quote from Petplan and it came in at £11.32 per cat, per month for their classic plan which would seem to be enough cover for them. Is that about right? If I go through Pets at Home to take it out I can get a £20 voucher per cat for use in store.

Petplan are one of the better providers and tends to be recommended by vets, they've paid out a silly amount on our cat but then the monthly cost has gone up quite a bit over his lifetime. They do have more restrictions on what they'll pay out and how much now, but again I don't know if thats the same for younger cats.

Weird but I'd much rather have sticks than birds or mice.

My TJ 2ho is nearly 17 still can't meow, he just makes crying or loud chirps and beats.

Reminds me of my old cat, Bandit, never heard a meow out of him in the twenty years he was with me, just squeaks and the odd hiss when he was annoyed!

Had me well trained though, he used to go to his dinner bowl, look at it, and then look at me, then look back at the bowl, until I duly filled it! :p

I know that look! Sky who passed away last June was good at that. Now TJ is on his own he is learning how to get my attention.

I went with Petplan for my kittens (Oscar and Cleo) in the end. I went through the Pet's at Home VIP app so will be getting £20 of vouchers per kitten to spend in store. In addition the amount I need to pay each month is lower than the quote of £11.32 per kitten per month and is only £19.98 for both of them which I think is pretty good for peace of mind. It's for their classic policy and whole of life care.

@robj20 When shopping around for quotes carefully check the smallprint and how much the compulsary excess is as it varies massively and many increase it after a claim or when you have a ongoing year after year claim for long term treatment. Some of the excess's are ridiculous and make it not worth claiming unless it's a super expensive claim running into thousands. My PetPlan policy has a £80 excess which is fair.

Well petplan is coming in around £17 for both cats for the life policy.
On comparison sites it's about £13 upwards for similar.

The difference with the cheaper ones is generally £160 excess plus 20% of the remaining bill. Which to me seems to make it pointless, you'll basically be paying a quarter of the bill no matter what.

Jelly has come home with a cheese sandwich before, that was about 10 years ago, i think she was still working out what i liked

Any suggestions for kitten insurance, got two new ones we've just brought home.
Go to a comparison website. I've gone for Tesco as they do a generous bonus clubcard offer when signing up.

As for petplan, if you buy via pets at home, you can get a £20 voucher.
