Show Us Your Motors!

Looks like someone facelifted the wing mirrors of that E93 at some point but left everything else pre-LCI, strange choice.

I remember when I had the E39 with no heated seats and I used to pretend it was a conscious decision not to have them and that I didn't even care anyway :p

So many people use this on M3Cutters about EDC/DCT whenever the topic comes up "nah m8 u dnt want it, aint got it on mine and it's a proper motor, none of this electronic crap interfering with the experience of driving my M Power *insert laughing mutley .gif*" then their garage shows they drive a very high mileage 2008 car with no options that's also a cat D.

I still don't like heated seats. I've had cars with them and without them and invariably they never ever get used unless it is an extremely cold morning and I remember. I turned them on in the Z4 to see if they worked and that's probably that for the time I own it :D

However, now I have a heated steering wheel I wonder how I ever managed to cope without one before!

I love heated seats - instant heat while the engine warms up. Couldn't be without them on the cold winter mornings.

With Nappa leather heated seats are less of an issue. Nappa warms up within moments of planting buttock and back into the seat.

Even still, there have been occasions with the roof down in the cold I wished for heated seats. Although only utter turds drive in this weather with the roof down, like me :p

I didn't think I'd want heated seats because 'they're for pansies' until I tried it on a freezing morning or after working late and wanting something to sooth my back! Now I have it on frequently. It's a nice option but certainly not essential!

At the mo I think heated steering wheels are for pansies but maybe I'll convert. Not convinced though as it seems a bit too far into pansification.

Shiny, for the first time in a long time.

7am at this time of year, heated seats are most appreciated! Of course, being a BMW leaving them on 2 or above is an invitation to be burnt 10 minutes into the journey.

Unfortunately never experienced them in a roof-down convertible (my Z4 Roadster was bottom spec, save Xenons) but I'd imagine they're not dissimilar to a hot tub experience, whilst driving. One of the best things about owning a convertible was being able to go roof down during the winter on rare dry days.

mjt - is that actually green? I thought that colour had died a sad death on cars. Looks so stately.

I've just got a heated steering wheel for the first time and it's nice when the cars cold and you don't have time to warm it up. Which my gear knob was heated now though.
