Love that shape. I want a GTV V6 rather badly... I'd settle for a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo (similar shape, similar dynamics) but its the GTV I reaaaaaally want. If you don't mind me asking, what are these like price/maintenance wise?

They see me rollin, they hatin...

I paid c.£6000 for the car, but it was due a new cambelt so that adds on another few hundred.

The issues I've had thus far:

- Locks ice up very easily, and in an attempt to get in the car I cocked up the central locking. It sorted itself out after being spray with some silicone and leaving it to sort itself out for a day whilst at work.
- Check strap was broken on the drivers side, so I've changed that. Cost me £20.
- The clutch slave cylinder went as it had been in a warehouse for a while before I bought it. The seller covered this though due to my only having it for a couple of weeks.

I'm likely to be getting the mid section of the exhaust changed in the coming weeks, the main reason being to change the silencer. It is the stock on at the moment and I want some more refinement on the run down, plus potentially more crackles :D

The clutch is very heavy, but from what I've read that's just how they are. I need to sort an issue with a spring at the base of the clutch pedal too as it makes an annoying click when I release the clutch!

I'm slowly revamping the engine bay too, which will include painting the cam and plenum covers, fuel rails etc. I'm hoping for it to be in tip top condition. I'm having some issues with bolt removal though, as the hex sockets have no grip left on them. I may have to get a garage to drill them out for me next time it's in for a service or whatever.

Rust isn't supposed to be an issue as they are anodised, everywhere apart from the underside :( So I have to be careful of that, but this one is in good shape so I'm hoping I won't get any of those issues!
So to answer your actual question , the next service will be ~£200. I haven't figured out what mpg I'm getting, but it's probably under 20.

If I keep it long enough I may put a Quaife in, uprated clutch and flywheel etc. But obviously these things wouldn't give me much back when I come to sell it. I'm hoping that when that time come it won't have lost too much value!

That turned into a long post... anyway, here's another picture. Not quite as clean mind... :)

Which wheels you gone for?

Callistos, the same ones I had on my old Jag. These ones have been sprayed gunmetal grey and I'm not sure how that's going to look, so I'm going to fit them and then see if I should get them changed back to silver or not. I only paid £250 for the set including tyres so getting them refurbed to the original polished silver finish won't be an issue if I have to.

Liking that indeed, engine bay pics?

Ah fair enough, get some pic's up on a forum somewhere (you know the ones) so I can see, will look forward to it :D

Will do :D It's at the garage right now getting a service and various new bushes/arms but once it's back (hopefully tomorrow morning) I'll be fitting the new wheels right away.

Ahhh not arms....pretty expensive labour hey?

Front control arms so shouldn't be too bad. I'm lucky in that I've got a great specialist near me - I tend to drop it off every 10k and just ask him to replace anything he thinks it needs. He'll always call me to check if it's going to be more than a few hundred and I haven't heard anything so no news is good news :p

Ah front ones all good then, one of the things on my check list when I bought mine was to ensure the rear's had been done. Still enjoying that 400bhp with heated wheel?

I had the rears done on my old Jag, I was lucky in that I found a guy on gumtree selling brand new complete arms for £80 each and got the last 2 available!

Absolutely loving it - I'm taking it to France next weekend so I'm looking forward to being able to give it a proper run. Are you still enjoying yours?

Ohhh yes, got a summer holiday driving down to Spain in it this year all booked, hoping to see 28/30mpg as I just got 32mpg from Southampton to Lincoln last weekend.
Currently getting 3 rear windows tinted for the benefit of my little one of course :-)
