Show Us Your Motors!

If I timed my 0-60 it would be about 20 seconds, 5 for my car to do it and 15 for me to fat finger my phone/watch/whatever to record the time... the youth of today :(

<---- (oohh 53,000 posts, wonder what that says about me; Elliot?)

My 330Ci does it in about 3.5s, I've timed it on multiple occasions.

BMW didn't want it dropping the sales of the M3, so that's why they said 6.5.

You were cool at 52,999 Will but now... I dunno, what a loser.

I don't make a habit of doing it, it was purely out of curiosity. :)

I affixed a camera behind my steering wheel and filmed it, then figured out the time (down the the frame!) in Premier Pro.

No half measures. ;)

Nice!

Can you show us on Google maps where this steep hill is? :D

Not 'on par' exactly, rather, able to attain a similar 0 - 60 time if the driver is on the ball and perfects the 1st to 2nd gearchange. The others will be more fun as they have more torque (particularly the Focus ST) which means that they are more rewarding to drive when you aren't absolutely caining it. They also have better handling dynamics.

It has 190HP, is lighter than a Clio RS197, and has short gearing.

But clearly people who have never driven one know more than I do!

Time for a subject change I think.

I wasn't quite that scientific, but I did affix a camera behind the steering wheel, filmed a 0 - 60 at 60fps, and then checked the time (down to the frame!) in Premier Pro. :)

You do realise your speedo isn't a calibrated instrument, right?

brb, off to the shops in my 0-60 in 4 second car, after all, 2 second margin of error on 0-60 innit ;)

BUT, if your indicated 60mph is actually 55mph (realistic as most cars I driven are) and you need a gear change at that speed then it will affect the real 0-60mph time. E.g. gear change and another 5mph acceleration.

On my Golf R, the analogue speedo reads 80mph, the digital display shows 77mph and the GPS readout on my satnav 72mph.
