Show Us Your Motors!

I was struggling to find a 3 series estate with a decent petrol engine, same with the 5 in my price range that was not either moon miles or terrible spec/condition.
I then decided to look at bigger saloons, so naturally the 7 came up.
Found a couple of 7 adverts and figured why not! I have always liked big cars and it seemed like a good example. You get all the toys, a bit of oomph, it's a bit unusual, understated and very refined.
What's not to like?
Also big v8 :D

Holy crap, I didn't know these are that cheap!

My old boss bought a 2002 V8 one for about £3500 I think. :p

Nothing went wrong with it, but he only had it about 4 months, and then sold it cos he was scared something would go wrong with it.

He is now leasing a Kia  :D

It's 10 years old and it's still worth 10 grand! Thats not bad going really?

The big saloons have always been known as depreciation disasters, though.

how much were these new fox?, just out of interest.

Getting used to the new race car, not easy when it's peeing wet all the time. It's clear the car is far better than me at the moment but getting quicker every time out so making progress.

Fantastic - looking pretty committed despite the weather!

I have been beating that drum for a long time :p

The warranty is nuts on them, though. This makes the cost of ownership a lot higher.

It is after all a luxury saloon, and the flagship class for BMW. I wouldn't expect it to have the same running costs as a 116d :p
