Show Us Your Motors!

Fantastic looking motor the new Cupra. The alloys look great aswell are they 19's or 20's?
I don't think I've seen a single one of these on the road but I've seen plenty of the Golf R's about which are similar priced.

There 19s with 235/35 Conti 5Ps on. I've not seen many Cupra but like you lots of Golf Rs, I got this on one of the recent lease deals which made it very competitively priced.

When I read 640d to Leon, I was a bit

But after looking at the pictures, sure, it's not quite the same league but it does look very smart for a hatch.

Picked this up a few months ago, finally managed to get some quick snaps. Fairly standard, few mods left on by previous owner - lightened flywheel, ceramic manifold, roof wrapped black, wheels powdercoated in a custom gunmetal. Loving it so far, needs spacers and dropping a few mm next.

Very nice! Have always loved the 350Z. My favourite colour as well. :)

So the 640d went yesterday and has been replaced by this

Its a Seat Leon Cupra 290 Black DSG and so far I'm very pleased with it. Over the last 24 months my life has goon through a fair bit of upheaval and my requirements have changed, so 4 doors and 5 seats is now a good thing and the 6 was just a bit cramped in the back. I'm also doing a lot less miles so the amount of money I was paying out for the 640d was beginning to grate...so this is on a 24 month lease.

I'm very impressed with how it drives, the DSG box is great and well matched to the engine which has a lot of power for a 2.0 Turbo unit. Its comfy to pootle around in but has very good body control when being pushed. Sound system is decent enough and the sat nav/media unit is very good and I particularly like CarPlay. LED headlights are extremely good which i'm pleased about.

Nice car, enjoy it! Had my FR for a few months now and I'm still occasionally finding new things it has or can do. Driving at night is fun too, the ambient cabin lighting is great.

Just got home in this. Smallest car I've owned since my first one but really liking it. It's nice to be in something that works 100% and actually has handling :)

I thought the Saab was "a keeper" that you've wanted for years?

Sure, the Mazda is "nice" and all, but that's about it.

Short story - sold it.

Long story. New job meaning longer commute, girlfriend moving in meaning I don't have as much time to tinker with a car every weekend. Even when I do work on it, I have to use my dad's garage as my house is on road parking. I've spent loads on it as you know but other stuff kept cropping up so it's stopped becoming about the money and more about the hassle factor of an older car. Decided a few weeks ago to advertise it at what I thought was a silly price - I figured if it sold for a high price then it was worth doing, otherwise I'd keep it. Got an offer which meant that the 6 months of ownership have cost about £250 a month all in to run and maintain - which is high but not devastating.

So accepted that and trying to find myself a well equipped reasonably new and nice to drive focus size hatch of some sort. Probably going to be a Diagro spec Mazda3, sans MPS bits obviously :)

That was the intention but if was proving to just be too much of a pain in the arse to maintain to my standard. That combined with some lifestyle changes (new job and girlfriend moving in) exacerbated that. So I wanted something that was enjoyable enough without being a pain. It's not special but it's a very tidy car that's quite enjoyable to drive and should be relatively reliable. Thats the idea anyway :)

Also, what he said ^

Ford Fair a week or so ago so here's a over processed image. :)

Really good day out, first big car show and also first show I've taken the car to. Won't be my last.

The wipers. If you want some that don't block the washer jets you need to buy them from mazda @ £30 each.

Not the end of the world, but best you know :P
