Took it out to the second highest road in Wales. Nice out there.

So, yesterday I finally treated the glass...

Followed by new wipers all round.

Then today, finally got round to getting stuck into the wheels. Not had a chance yet since I bought it. They came up OK, but the finish on the refurb isn't the best. Would ideally like them done again, and in a colour less "flat". Something still silver I would think, but just just a bit more, well, pop I guess?
Anyway, the rest of the car also got a quick clean yesterday for the glass, so just some new pics...

And the S3 stoppers behind clean wheels, lol...

Also, the other day, I changed out all the interior bulbs for LED ones. And the number plate bulbs.

Looks ok, and easy enough to do. But not something I would likely be bothered to do again. The LED's are a bit "cold" I feel. Still, done now.

Not bad for a window smashing chav (due to the wind deflectors and recaro kids seats apparently).

Yeah, it's in decent enough nick. I like it more and more every time I drive it.

Golf looks great. Needs hoovering though :p passenger carpet is just not good enough. It shocks me how many of my friends spend hours on the outside of there cars and neglect the inside. I Hoover mine inside out every time I wash it normally every Sunday :D

Ha ha. Yes. I would usually do the lot. But the wife has been busy, so I only get to do bits and pieces at a time between looking after the kids. Hence why it's taken 2 days to get this far.

Mk5 gti is a good looking affordable car now. 3 belts across the back on the 3 door?

Yes. Not that I'll ever use the middle one mind you. The kids seats are permanently in there. Not that we all go in this car often either, but the eldest loves it.

What is the glass treatment like? Are the results good? What exactly does it do?.

I had it on the 5 series before. It's basically the same effect as the likes of RainX, in that the water just flows straight off the windscreen. The G1 though, doesn't really work so well at slower speeds, so if you're mostly just a town driver, then the G6 is probably the better product. The G1, however, lasts for close to 30,000 miles. At least it did on my 5 series (about 2 years) off a single treatment.

I also put it on my Alhambra, whatever was left from my 5 series. But that only lasted 2 layers on the windscreen instead of the recommended 3. Will see how that holds up.

Cheating here a bit as it's not my picture and haven't actually seen it in person yet, but this will be mine before the end of the month.

I'll get some proper ones up on Wednesday or Sunday :)

I still find eBay the best, my Beemer went for nearly a grand more than I paid within 2 days of being advertised :)

I would love a CW but nothing expensive for a year :( But hey if you're giving stuff away dude I can cover postage! :D

BRZ sounds very interesting though, look forward to seeing what it's all about when you've got it!
