The wheel colour looks alright with that paint colour to be honest, but still needs springs and spacers - in my opinion. :p

I hate the wheels :( Really want some black TE37's but they're like Hens teeth. Springs don't work well on them since there's hardly any travel - needs coilovers really.

It is a nice car, not too many of them about either which is a good thing. Have they started putting faster engines in yet or are they still only the 2.0na unit? Can remember reading up a few years ago about a STi version being spoke about? (BRZ obviously, not sure what toyota would call their one)

Scooby clinic has a supercharged one, kitted out with roll cage etc.

what about some speedline wheels? these are 225/40/R18 with pilot super sports. they are easy to clean and pretty light too.

Not yet, still the 2.0l 197bhp. Raw speed isn't what the car is about, it was designed to be fun rather than fast. That said the book figures are incredibly conservative - how they managed to get such a slow 0-60 time I don't know - most reviews actually time it closer to 6.5 seconds, which OK isn't anywhere near what the current hot hatches are doing agreed, but it's still not exactly slow. There's a good interview on how the car came to be, you might find it interesting since it talks about the decision to keep the power fairly low.

There's plenty of aftermarket forced induction available now depending on how you prefer your torque delivered. But, the reviews on most of the FI kits go 50/50 on whether they like it. Sure the extra power and speed is great, but it takes away from the car's character - you stop having to work to get the power, which is all part of the fun. I've considered longer term going down that path but think probably I'll stay NA, improve the breathing with better induction and exhaust and call it a day.

Yeah, see I like Speedline, OZ etc. But in this case want to keep it JDM. Scene points yo? ;)

Buy some Rotas the Grid isn't a million miles away from a TE37.

Yeah, but I'll get them and then in the back of my head there will be this little gremlin whispering, "Should have just got the real thing". ;)

When I do get new wheels I'll just sort the offset. Not a fan of spacers regardless of how safe they're supposed to be. And yes, it'll get dropped 20mm in the future. :)

Lowe - your paintwork has come up really nicely, where did you get it done if you don't mind me asking? I'm looking for a detailer in the Midlands.

Yeah SC did say they have had a load of trouble with their one getting it to run right. Think it was still playing up when i asked them about it.

Had it a couple of months now, only really bought it because it was really cheap and I wanted to sell it on. Should make about £2500 on it if all goes well. No idea what I'll get next, am looking at a potential move to yet another country so don't want to put a lot of money into anything that won't be extremely easy to sell. May well get another cheap one and sell it on again :p
