Show Us Your Motors!

If you do it right, you could buy a nice 328i Sport coupe, and then make a lot of your money back by selling the parts you don't need to make it a track car. Old Bimmer parts fetch a pretty penny.

Found this arty flare taken a few months ago on another rare stunning day up here.

Loving the tank so far, it's like a driving a nice sounding leather chair to work. Plus it swallows loads of plants and trees with the rear seats down.

Just remember to keep a few k in the bank for when the chocolate CVT box in the Murano goes bang as it inevitably will. It sucks that Nissan UK wouldn't do the same as Nissan US did by extending the gearbox warranty to 10 years.

I got more of a banjos and gun racks vibe off that merc truck. Driven by a guy named bubba who keeps dropping the soap.

Real builders trucks come pre-dented and grubby. Hasp nailed onto the tailgate and rusting padlock as the "lux" pack.

Indeed, the CVT box issues and checking it as much as possible was the main focus of my research. Saw around 6 of these before this one popped up (with no online pics) at a Nissan dealership that I was going to be near one day (when picking up an MX5 nearby :D).

One up near me was aesthetically a scratched and abused mess, a few others were incredibly neglected, then I saw a 120k miler with no history in fairly alright condition for £1600. Not worth the punt due to the mileage, plenty of CVT oil leakage over time seen around the transfer casing and the central locking didn't work.

This one was a 2 owner car, 80k, direct from Nissan, transfer case seals were doing their job still with no leaks, decent full history, drove well and Nissan were replacing the rear discs, pads and calipers. We only do around 6k a year, so hopefully this lasts well until it hits 120k, then I'll be happy. It's a wonderful thing to drive around in, very comfy, loads of gadgets, nice sounding engine and handles alright. The boot swallows plenty but most importantly, it's different from the sea of silly Q3/Q5 and LR Disco Sports, Kia, Hyundai etc. I even managed a decent 26MPG on the 500mile drive back up here, which will do nicely :D:p

Only thing I really need is a better backbox to get that V6 sounding even sweeter.

26mpg is horrific!

Better than the quoted figure of 23mpg ex-urban :p

Low purchase cost for what is a cracking SUV and low mileage means fuel cost isn't a concern at all.

Much rather drive around in one of these than some 2L TDI genericmobile. We tried many SUVs, with only the F-Pace being a WANT as new and this being the best used for a few grand. Bargaintatstic if the CVT box doesn't give up the ghost.
